Can These Dramas Just Release Already

Edit: I watched the trailer with subs and now, I am gasping for air and laughing like a maniac. This dynamic of relationship is what I have been praying for since ages! AGES I'm telling you all! A xianxia/xuanhuan with a dangerous, seductive, bold and utterly powerful woman having multiple past lovers and a not 'as powerful as her' man that falls for her and pursues her. The way he said that the first color he wants her to see is him dressed in red as her groom, the way she showed him the graves of her past lovers, the way he still persisted, and the way she told him she wishes well for him, but he can't get her. I am dying to watch this now. Can they throw this on me tomorrow please? 

I just had a look at the recent trailer and I am so in love with this! Dilireba finally understands that it's not the cute and bubbly vibe that suits her the best, but a hot, mature and seductive lady. I and my sister often used to talk about how she wasn't really playing the roles she deserved with that lethally beautiful face. I cannot believe that they held the dangerous Dilireba back from us. She is so natural in these roles. LOTTL & this, I'll go wild when both of these release!

That said, the overall production quality looks really great for Chinese xuanhuan and xianxia standards. Also, so many xianxia and xuanhuans, but except for blossoming love with SZN, there has been a lack of these dramas having a mature or such powerful characters. I think Shen Li was the last of this kind I saw. They need to stop with cheerful women and powerful men dynamic and focus more on powerful women and weak men dynamic. I need that desperately. And this is one of the few that looks like it will serve well.

Dilireba oh Dilireba, I wasn't really a fan before, but you converted me! Please keep making stuff like this. 

OMG OMG OMG! The costumes! They are so accurate to 1980s China fashion and Zhou Ye looks so fabulous in those dresses! I can't explain how happy I am to discover this drama!

Director Zhu Dong Ning has directed Angels Fall Sometimes & Put Your Head on My Shoulder which were both amazing shows. Producers have produced great shows too! 

Tibetan setting? Another cultural drama! Love China for this so much! Got to know it will be set around 90s or 2000s and would be about environmental conservation, particularly about protecting the Tibetan Antelope. Based on actual events on how these animals were on the brink of extinction due to poaching problem and how China worked on putting a stop to the practice as well as stop the species from going extinct. People even died while while working on the task. In the end, they were able to protect these animals from going extinct. 

This is by ZWYG, so it is safe to say that this is going to be very good. I see a drama that will potentially score above 9 on douban. It seems like it will be as good as Minning Town (ofc it is by the same writer as I just realized!!!). 

Two of the highly talented actors, Yang Zi and Hu Ge will lead this. I am so happy to see both of the actors in yet another outstanding project. Written by Gao Man Tang who wrote gems like Minning Town, Always on the Move, and a bunch of high rated ZWYG dramas. Directed by Li Xue who also directed a lot of outstanding ZWYG dramas (all dramas by him are in my PTW list).

Another slice of life drama based on the ancient city of Kashgar! The architecture and cityscape of Kashgar is very different from what we would expect in Eastern China. Lots of dramas being made on this region I see. I hope that most of them receive positive remarks as I want to badly see good dramas set in Xingjian. This one is confirmed by CCTV & IQIYI, so I hope we get the trailers soon.

Another drama set in 80s. Mainstream realistic drama like 'Like a Flowing River', which was also written by this drama's screenwriter. The director has directed Joy of Life before. Zhao Li Ying is also a producer.

ZLY's previous set in 90s drama Wild Bloom was a huge hit in China, and now it seems that she is back with another hopefully hit drama set in 80s this time. Since the screenwriter wrote LAFR, I can be assured of a great script. 

Edit: The novel this is based on won the Mao Dun Literary prize. This cannot get any better! For everyone's reference, dramas that were based on these novels include THE Ren Shi Jian (A Lifelong Journey), THE Pin Fang De Shi Jian (An Ordinary World), and THE Blossoms Shanghai. I am expecting too high from this now!

The main lead, director and scriptwriter are confirmed! Led by Zhang Ruo Yun, written by THE Wang Jun! Another collaboration for this actor and writer combo, previous ones being Joy of Life and Sword Snow Stride. There is another screenwriter, Jin Hai Shu who wrote the domestically very highly received The Wind Blows from Longxi. 

The director is Wang Jun, who also directed great dramas like The Tale of Rose, A Better Life, A Little Reunion, Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, A Love for Separation, The Firmament of the Pleiades & Love Story in Shanghai.

This is a god sent combo! Cannot wait! 

Why did I come to know about this one so late? This one is the most my kind of drama amongst all kinds of genres, themes and plots that I love: 'Female Lead lives in one of those periods of history which is most restrictive and oppressive towards women, she has a dream she wants to pursue, and tries her hardest to break through and make her name in such a time.' This is yet another thing that only China (sometimes Japanese taigas/asadoras too, but they are less) can do as I have seen one Korean drama with this plot, and it was one of the worst execution of this plot. It was very unrealistic and felt very 21st century-ish in the way characters behaved. That is a story for another day, but I love realistic portrayal of how women were treated in that period and the mindset of FL being not following 21st century feminism, but true to how it would have been for a woman wanting to achieve her goal in that time period.

The screenwriter and director had already written and directed (respectively) an amazing contemporary female centric realistic drama before called 'Be Your Own Light'. I have heard a lot of good things about the FL actress from China and the teaser was a proof of her great acting capabilities. Highly waiting for the show!

Finally I got my hands on a new Minguo upcoming drama. I have been starved till now, and suddenly we have news of 2 of them, both led by actresses I love and created by trusted production houses or directors. This one is directed by Yang Lei who also directed Three-Body, The Red & The Great Revival. For those who don't know, 3 of these shows are highly rated on douban and 2 of them were major hits.

Also, I have been dying to put words of appreciation for LYT in qipao ever since I saw her photos. She looks fantastic, elegant and classy. A very different style for her. Cannot wait for more pictures to feed my soul.

The 2nd Minguo upcoming new drama. This is created by ZWYG aka Daylight Entertainment, so if the quality of the drama would be excellent or not does not even need to be discussed. 

The FL here is one of my most favourite actress, Zhou Yu Tong. She also looks just mesmerizing in a qipao. Just too good. Otherworldly. I cannot wait to see more pictures of her in a qipao. It seems like god has heard me. I have been praying since very long for a Minguo drama where FL wears qipao and not western influenced clothing. 

The director and screenwriter isn't mentioned here, but both of the roles are undertaken by the same guy who was behind the genius Ripe Town. 

The plot in itself is something very unique. Psychological thrillers are less from China, but I loved the ones they make. I loved the Korean Strangers from Hell, and the premise has a somewhat similar feel to it, all the while being unique on it's own. I am praying for this one to be an intelligent show that gets 8 above douban score 

Okay WHAT? I am literally losing my sh*t rn. My absolute fav actress has filmed such an interesting show with a director as amazing as Yang Yang? And I was unaware? LIKE HOW? HOW DID IT EVEN HAPPEN? Like I- gotta go watch the trailer. I am still feeling that I have gone crazy as I have been checking almost daily for updates of her new stuff and still was fully unaware that she did this. CRAZY. 

Director Yang Yang again. This time it's Liu Shi Shi. Ah, so many classy and amazing actresses she has collaborated with. Her drama's cinematography is really amazing too. And the team that is writing this wrote the S1 of Under The Skin. Hoping for the best.

Edit: Written by who now? The screenwriters of 'I Don't Want To Be Friends With You' & 'Angels Fall Sometime'? Also the director of 'A River Runs Through It', 'To Fly With You', & 'Love Me, Love My Voice'? I should have known this after watching that beauty of a trailer that this must've been written & directed by people who know what they are doing and are excellent at their jobs. HOW THE HELL CAN I WAIT AFTER KNOWING THIS??? Just release already T_T 

Time travel/manipulation and parallel/alternate world related dramas and films are my favorite. I can't seem to get enough of them. This drama's trailer was so good, so good that I kept rewatching it for the feels it gave. I can smell it's high douban ratings already, fingers crossed. The trailer just pulls you in so badly. Just waiting for it's release now. 

Liu Ci Xin, the author behind '3 Body' is behind this drama's novel too. And he is the screenwriter for the show as well! And the director can be trusted as he had directed 'Tientsin Mystic' before. 

The plot has my full interest: a situation where the entire surface water of earth, including oceans of course; rose into space to form a ring around the earth. I just want to see this asap.

Another great thriller drama that looks like a horror show, more of a psychological horror actually. The cinematography looks mind blowing.

Looks like Youku will be on a roll with all the horror-ish dramas this and next year as evident from all the trailers released during their conference. Each drama looks so great and highly interesting from the trailers.

This one is from Taiwan. 

This kind of period folk supernatural horror type of dramas getting so popular in China has made me so satisfied as in the past I used to wish a lot for them to make use of the potential they have to make completely unique and cultural horror shows. Now they are everywhere, and so many of them are just so good! These are the kind of shows that only China can make. Japan does cultural folk horror too, but they have a very Japanesey feel to them. These have a very Chinesey feel to them. I love both.

The styling of each female character has won my heart and I cannot wait for this to come out!

Another horror-ish show by China. This one has the screenwriter of Tientsin Mystic writing it PLUS the original novel writer of Tientsin Mystic wrote the novel behind this too. TM was called River God, this is called Fire God. This is very interesting to me. It seems like the stories in this will be related to fire, as in TM they were related to water(river).

Since my childhood, I have this weird love for games related to the 4 elements. It seems like the original novels have followed the same theme too. I wonder if they have novels related to earth and air too?  

Oh and the director is Pan An Zi who also directed Under the Microscope and  Reunion: The Sound of the Providence.

Edit: OMG the trailer! FL is exactly like how I expected her to be, given the style of original authors writing. Number one, she has to be a badass fighter, way above the ML even. Number two, the styling and makeup is very well done. Both Rattan and Parallel World had followed these rules, and this seems to be doing the same. 

The production quality is just tooooooo good! The lighting and everything is top notch. Really did not expect it to be so good. I knew that the director is an very good one, but this level of cinematography? I can only wait impatiently now T_T

This drama is an adaptation of Wei Yu's novel, whose novels have been previously adapted into dramas like 'Rattan' & 'Parallel World'. One thing I absolutely love about her works is that the FL is usually very strong, even more than the ML. Jing Tian & Ni Ni did terrific job in portraying their characters, and I believe that Dilraba can also pull this kind of a character well, given that her face is very suitable for a feisty and dangerous woman kind of characters (hoping that this drama also follows the pattern of FL being this strong). Also, CXX is an amazing actor as well. 

Director Tian Li has good experience with stories like this, having previously directed 'Tientsin Mystic', 'Disappearing Child' & the upcoming 'Sea of Dreams'. Can't wait to see this drama!

Another adaptation of Wei Yu's novel. She wrote novels behind Rattan, Parallel World and the upcoming Love on the Turquoise Land. One thing to know if you are familiar with her works is that the FLs in her novels are domineering, badass and physically (or magically) strong and superior, wayyy stronger than the MLs. Her MLs are not that strong physically and is often saved by the FL. I extremely love these setups. She is the one who I suspect was the 'inspiration' for Hong Sisters while making Hotel Del Luna.

This adaptation will be no less different in terms of the set-up. I had really liked MZY in the past, but she never got to work in that breakthrough drama she deserved. After Blossom, I am really happy for her to finally be able to make her mark. Next up, this and hopefully The Princess‘s Gambit will further make her more well known and loved. 

MZY's look here is too good as the smart, cold and beautiful FL of the novel and the ML here will be a nice and innocent guy. What can be better than this y'all?

W.T.F?!?!?! A possible second collaboration between Jing Tian & Zhang Bin Bin? And we have Li Mu Ge as director again? And based on Wei Yu's novel again? Rattan 2.0 is here y'all!!!!!!!! I keep seeing Jing Tian in all these new dramas and all I think is that she is very beautiful, but only LMG had the skill to fully showcase this woman's beauty and grace. Some of her shows had good enough makeup, some passable and some were downright offensive to the beauty that this woman is. However, no one has come to the level of LMG in filming her like she deserves. I am so in a visual treat if this is a true rumor. I am dying from happiness rn. Chinese ent. industry never disappoints me! 

Season 3 of an top rated drama I can't wait to watch. Idk if I can wait for it's release to watch the past 2 seasons TT_TT

Another Yang Zi drama with female centric plot! This time it's set in the Ming Dynasty and she is involved in ink production. I just love these types of Chinese historicals. Glad that they are being made more and more.

Director had co-directed dramas like Arsenal Military Academy, Story of Yanxi Palace & Winter Begonia. I love AMA a lot and I just know that I will love SOYP & WB. This pair of screenwriter had also written respected Zhou Xun's Imperfect Victim. 

The photographs from the production are less, but from what I have seen the costumes look great. I also heard that they are taking the process of producing ink seriously, which I hope is true. Come soon please. 

A historical with Zhou Yu Tong leading it!!! And the director Yang Lei has directed some of the douban top rated works like Three-Body, The Red, & The Great Revival. 

Edit: Trailer was top notch and it is a full serious historical made with great accuracy. 

Is the cinematography for real?!?! The trailer has my expectations above the roof. Always love dramas set in the Qing dynasty (actually set in any period as long as it is well written). Also what? The screenwriter & director has also written Wild Bloom & Bank on Me and has also both directed and written (like this show) The Long River?? This is bound to be a masterpiece (fingers crossed). 

Can this drama do me a favor and release asap?

Edit: just saw the trailer and Cao Dun lives up to expectations. Seems like this will include people from other than Han ethnicity. I am very excited to see this!

Cao Dun directs this and all I know is that this is set in Ming dynasty and is about mystery, historical  and dark elements. Also, I got to know that it is the same team as 'Longest Day in Chang'an'. I cannot wait for this to air man! I love these kinds of historicals and the director is top notch. I already have very high expectations.

China brings yet another unique twist to the time travel theme. This is why I love Chinese dramas so much. Also, it looks angst free slice of life comedy. Please be this way. I don't care about you idiots out there on various platforms crying about it lacking a heavy politics plot and angst. Keep your garbage opinions to yourselves. Thousands of angsty dramas out there, and a few pure comedic slice of life dramas irritate you? Kindly f__ off.

Also, it's written by the screenwriters of 'New Life Begins', so you can expect great things from this.

Made by the same team as Hilarious family, a great and one of the very few great pure comedic slice of life historical drama! Same lead pairing too!

Highly excited about this one. This is made by the director Zeng Qing Jie who directed dramas like Blossom, The Killer Is Also Romantic, A Familiar Stranger, Provoke & Butterflied Lover. The screenwriter Zou Yue has written dramas like Love Like the Galaxy, The Rise of Phoenixes, Schemes of a Beauty & the upcoming Coroner's Diary. This combination itself makes this a very highly anticipated show for me.

Also, Tian Xi Wei is leading this. Girl has been doing a lot of good dramas lately and I am really happy about it since she deserved it. Also Zhang Ling He. 

Originally, I did not really have any hopes since I didn't understand if they will be able to pull this off or not with FL being a minor, but the trailer pulled me in by it's dark and cold aesthetic and complex looking plot. I hope that this is more plot focused and romance is very minimal, but that is a given since HYTT is 17 and China is very strict about and restricts romance scenes for teen actors.

Directed by Deng Ke, and starring Song Yi *heart eyes* and Cheng Lei. I love love LOVE Song Yi and have been yearning for her to do another lethal woman role. When I saw how she was in The Disguiser, I was mesmerized. Those kinds of a roles are made for her. So when I discovered that she will be playing a physically strong FL, I was more than just excited. When I saw the trailer, I knew that this will become a top priority watch for me. The dynamics between both leads is one of my favorite. I hope ML is exactly like how he is shown in the trailer towards FL, and they don't change anything about him later.

Edit: Just saw the trailer and it was very interesting. I am yet to see the cyberpunk elements that they planned on adding. I hope they are adding those, but if not it is fine. As long as the cinematography hits, the FL stays lethal till the end, and the visual direction is unique, I don't have any problem.

I just read the plot and instantly added it to my list. I got wayyy too many reasons why I am mad excited to see this show. I am overwhelmed by all those reasons as I am typing this. Let me use points to explain my excitement.

• The FL is Lu Yu Xiao, who I absolutely adore. She is a beauty that exudes elegance and grace. I first paid attention to her through her role in 'MJTY' where she was styled too good. I loved her character there and found out that apart from the youth drama 'TAHAJR', she has mostly done support or SFL roles. Now she is finally getting lead roles in all these good dramas. I am very happy for her. 
• The character of FL is cold, lethal, and strong. I always love such kinds of female leads. 
• Also, it seems like the character of ML will be less serious. I hope so, because I love it when cold and strong FL is paired with playful and humorous ML. Banter between such personalities are the most interesting for me.
• The screenwriters of 'New Life Begins' will be writing this. Also, I heard it will have themes of feminism. That being the case, these 2 screenwriters are the best choice.
• The production shared it's concept for the kind of sets and CGI it will have, and it looks like this will have a completely different CGI & sets than other Chinese period fantasy shows. They have a mix of Chinese mythological & cyberpunk elements in the concept, and I hope that they stick to it. Because I really have not seen anything like this from a Chinese drama before. Chinese dramas are always full of surprises and innovations these days.

I just hope this starts shooting soon, because I might die of curiosity for this.  

I love the director Yang Yang so much! Ma'am gave us dramas like ADOS & Ever Night. The story here is also my type. The direction looks top notch according to the trailer (exceeded the expectations). I loved it so much! Heard that they actually travel to all these locations to shoot instead of making do with what they have or using CGI instead. Love the director and the entire production team for this effort. I may not like the actor Yang Yang much, but the story and the production appears to be worth waiting for. 

I'm always in for a good adventure wuxia, and this seems to have everything I need. Plis come faster.

What was that cinematography, lighting, CGI, set design, costumes and makeup that I just saw in the trailer?!?! Chinese idol dramas keep getting better and better. 

Directed by Zhao Yi Long, assistant director of Nirvana in Fire and director of Rising with the Wind and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy. 

I love LYT, and this show might have the best styling of LYT. I thought first that her styling inTake Me Where the Clouds Rise is best when it began shooting, but then I saw Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved's styling and thought that this outdid TMWTCR. Then they threw A Dream within a Dream and left me speechless. But then, LYT wasn't having enough. She just left us breathless with her costumes and makeup in this show. She looks otherworldly here. Next up we also get to see her in elegant and classy qipaos. Being a fan of female actresses is a blessing if you are a Chinese drama fan, because Korea has disappointed me way too much. 

Wang Chu Ran in an transmigration plot. Her styling is done sooooo well here. Glad she was able to make her mark since she wasn't taken seriously by the audience before AYTO. I always wanted her to be casted in better dramas. Also, this is based on a well rated donghua I see.

My fav Bai Lu in a type of drama she had never done before. And Yin Tao is the director. I am sure this will be a great drama with good enough cinematography. I cannot wait!

Edit: That teaser was beautiful! It gave me a glimpse of what I originally loved about Bai Lu. Yes her current dramas made her more popular, but to me it's her role as Zhao Yao and Xie Xiang that I love THE MOST. Her current popular shows are all interesting, but the characters of those dramas are not really that appealing. I want more serious Bai Lu, or more lethal Bai Lu. Not the cute and bubbly Bai Lu. I said what I said.

Yet another drama promising a badass female assassin. The time travel from modern times to Song dynasty looks interesting for this kind of plot with her being assassin in modern times transmigrating to body of a woman who is an assassin in training during those times. Hopefully it is well done. I await a good WCR drama. Also GJM aesthetics are love <3 

Another Ming dynasty drama with beautiful costumes! The only thing to worry about is Guli Nazha's acting, but I have seen many recent cases of improvements in bad Chinese actors and actresses. Hoping the same here.

Set in 90s with hotel being a main character, just like train was for Always on the Move and the canal was for Northwards. Love that more and more dramas are making a particular location setting the major character. 

That trailer was beautiful! 

Yet another Nianxia drama! This time with Michelle Chen playing the lead!

WZW looks so hot, mature and sexy in this one! Every woman in this looks great! The plot is quite interesting as well. What else do I even need?

Also, just found out that this is set in Dunhuang, a very unique and beautiful location. I love Chinese dramas so much just because of this! They have a varied landscape and they have recently started to showcase it all in their shows. First Yunnan, then Aletai (Xingjian), then Tibet, now upcoming Kashgar and Dunhuang!

Major reasons to anticipate this are Lu Yu Xiao queen and the concept of the game they are playing is interesting. It's an escape room game set in Minguo China. I can only imagine how beautiful LYX will look in those qipaos and other costumes!

An interesting looking Taiwanese Sci-Fi. Cinematography looks amazing. Looks top notch from the trailer itself. The director of my absolute favourite show 'Mars' is directing this! Another co-director also directed 'The Victim's Game'. Seems like the next top rated on douban Taiwanese drama. 

Zhou Dong Yu in a dual role with opposite personalities? That too with one personality being so mysterious and deadly? I want this and I want this now. The cinematography also looks very good from the trailer released. Can't wait.

I didn't knew much about this drama, but the trailer was very interesting. This one also feels like it will be a hit in China. Ma Si Chun & Zhang Ruo Yun are both really good actors, so can't wait to see their performance here.

Interesting plot.

Based on the novel of Ding Mo & directed by 'Tsai Yueh Hsun ' who also directed my favourite drama 'Mars' & a number of well recieved Taiwanese dramas. Starring 'Jing Tian' & 'Zhang Xin Cheng', my absolute favorite actors. The 2 actors look well styled. ZXC looks awesome & JT looks SOOOO GOOD. I am loving her look here.  

A Sci-fi based on Liu Ci Xin's novel who also wrote the well loved 'Three Body'. The director Pan An Zi seems promising having directed many amazing dramas like 'Under The Microscope' & 'R:TSOP'. I am highly hoping for this drama to serve. 

Travel back in various times to retrieve artefacts? Very interesting. The director had directed 'New Life Begins' previously. I have high expectations. 

Season 3 of an top rated drama I can't wait to watch.

Season 2 of TBOY, with almost all of the team returning back. Same director, screenwriter, production team and actors. I already have high expectations from this.

Another high fantasy wuxia. Directed by Yin Tao and also shares the same universe as The Blood of Youth. Hoping for this, TBOY2, & DY all 3 of them to be as good as TBOY. TBOY made me realize how much I love Chinese wuxia dramas. Prior to that, I had always believed that the action genre is not for me. I love wuxia now. A lot.

Li Qin in yet another drama where her character is (potentially) a strong FL. Her styling is so well done from the 2-4 pictures I saw! Can't wait.

This drama is based on the works of the novel writer 'Qian Shan Cha Ke', who wrote many well loved web novels. A lot of her work is about to be adapted and I am well seated for all of them. This might be the 1st to release amongst all of them, and I cannot wait for it! 

The FL is described as a strong general and I hope they do justice to her character. Also, Zhou Ye plays the FL & given her recent back to back successful shows, I know I can keep my expectations high. The styling is also well done given that Yi Xiao Ya is the costume designer here.

Edit: Tian Xi Wei my girl! She looks so amazing here. Her character in this looks so my kind from the trailer. I couldn't take my eyes of her. Such a vibrant styling! Also cinematography looks amazing. I just can't wait for this!

Based on behind the scene photos, TXW looks gorgeous and elegant! Styling looks well done here. I've got no idea about the director or screenwriter or the production team, but it looks like it will be a very interesting drama. I love both TXW & XK. 

The way FL's character is being discussed in the comments make it seem like she is a smart & strong character and also a bit unique. The plot of arranged marriage has been done a lot in dramas, but it becomes enjoyable when done right. Hoping for the very best for this show and will await this one highly!

Same feelings that I have for Liu Shi Shi's version. Hoping this turns out to be great. Li Yi Tong is yet another favorite of mine who recently did a lot of good dramas. I love her acting. I love her styling and want this to succeed so bad. 

The plot is so rare in dramaland. The only show that I remember being about old people's life is the masterpiece that is 'Dear My Friends' and some other mainstream Chinese dramas that received no international popularity. I hope that this show does justice to its plot. 

It is about siblings, an old man and an old woman both in their 60s. They both rarely communicate, but they reunite with their family in Beijing. Suddenly, their mother(in her 80s) who had been missing some time ago returns. The mother does not mention why she went missing, but the siblings knew why. The siblings now in addition to dealing with their own life problems, will also have to take care of their mother. 

It is fully a story of older people and I know a lot of people would refuse to watch this because of lack of an oppa and romance and beautiful faces (typical international E.Asian drama fans). But this is fully my type of story. I have my hopes high.   

A drama adapted by the work of 'Ma Bo Yong'. The same author whose works are well loved and well adapted into so many dramas like: 'The Longest Day in Chang'an', 'Luoyang', 'The Wind Blows From Longxi', 'Under The Microscope', & the upcoming 'The Litchi Road'. Also, if the director is confirmed to be Ding Hei, he has directed the well loved 'Ordinary Greatness' and can be well trusted. This project was confirmed by IQIYI, as in they have not decided the cast and when it will be shot, but it is sure that this drama will be made. So as always, I have high hopes.

It is based on the work of the novel writer Zi Jin Chen, who wrote the 3 hit mystery thrillers: 'The Long Night', 'The Bad Kids', & 'Burning Ice'. These 3 were brilliantly adapted on screen and scoring top douban ratings. I wish the same fate for this adaptation as well.

I love Qin Lan! She plays a dancer this time. I am hoping for this one to be a mature romance drama since QL always take up mature dramas only. The director also directed 'Lighter & Princess' & the screenwriter has a good portfolio as well having recently written the domestically well loved 'The Hope', a remake of Japanese hit 'Dragon Zakura'.
