I fully admit that the only reason I watched this entire thing was to see what happened when Tutor and Yim's characters finally made out, and it was worth it. They are gorgeous together, but I wish the story was enjoyable enough for me to want to watch it again.

This was awkward as hell. I didn't care for the music, but only because it isn't my style. The sound mixing was not good. The actors are blindingly lily-white porcelain, and the makeup should probably have tried to give their faces some shape instead of ivory matte with pretty pink lipstick.

There were some funny moments, but it doesn't make up for the way the story felt pieced together and almost out of order sometimes.

Incredibly cute story. Lovely acting, even though the characters were sometimes in need of a scolding. This wasn't a BL, but it was a very sweet and realistic feeling story about what it's like to just love someone, so much, that it doesn't matter what they look like or if it makes your family uncomfortable -- you just need them. You just love them.

I have given this the full ten stars; I really enjoyed the story, and I think the actors are extremely good in this series. I particularly loved the sincere way that He Yan was always re-centered as a powerful woman, and that the end of the story did not include her having to sacrifice her identity or glory in any way.

I fear I am only finishing this because I started it. It's awkward and the sound is not mixed very well, but every now and then it is sort of cute?

In EPISODE ELEVEN it finally got serious. FFS. I hope the last episode wraps up the story in a meaningful way that feels like it properly ended the story.

FINISHED: this really did end up feeling like an awkward story. I like the concept, but it was not as smooth or easy to believe as it might have been with better acting or at least better production. It's not the show's fault that it wasn't produced very well, because they clearly did try very hard.

I watched this on dailymotion -- someone had put together the episodes into a few longer groupings, since this is made up of 80 two-minute episodes. The subject matter was fairly serious, and there are anger problems and themes of SA. I think that some more could have been done with the toxic ways that Tle and FirstOne's characters behaved in relationship with one another, but I am satisfied with the way the story concluded. And not for nothing, the two of them have such wonderful physical and emotional chemistry together.

I recommend starting with 'Episode 0,' which is around 45 minutes of introduction to the story and the cast and crew but more importantly, an introduction to the care that was taken for this deeply faith-based story. The crew were required to do ritual before every scene. Nothing was carelessly done, everything was researched and done with the most respect for the culture and religion as possible. I am thoroughly impressed, and after two episodes in I am even more impressed. This is amazing.

I continue to be impressed! I think this may end up being a 12/10 stars for my personal metric; we'll see if the romance messes up the deeply spiritual and religious plot that I'm enjoying so much.

This is a partial rewatch; I had gotten 27 episodes in last year but put it down, so I've started from the beginning.

At about episode 30-31 it has got ... slow as shit, and it feels like the plot fell into a ditch for a little bit. It has had 'series ending' feels but it's too soon for that, so it's obviously not going to stay okay and I don't like the ominous knowledge that it will certainly be very dramatic and upsetting again for many episodes before it actually reaches episode 40.
