1. Romantics Anonymous
Japanese Drama - 2025, 8 episodes
"SARANGHAE!!" "NAEGA DEO SARANGHAE!!!!"
8 episodes of pure perfection!!!! Japan truly NEVER disappoints me.
I loved how the protagonists' mental disorders were portrayed so realistically and super well-acted by the actors. You could feel how difficult it is to live with the illness and the constant attempt to get better even when something is trying to stop you at all costs and you can't control it...
The way Sozuke and Hana find in each other a kind of escape valve for all the confusion that is their minds, having each other as anchors, was truly touching. Seeing their relationship grow gradually, without haste, with care and affection, going from strangers to friends, then to lovers... was just so beautiful. The plot is really well developed, the drama was just right. Obviously, there were one or two things that were lost, but overall it was a well-constructed script, especially since I believe the focus was on the difficulties faced by people with mental disorders living their lives like anyone else, with dramas, struggles, romance, and everything else, and that's exactly what they conveyed. The other subjects weren't poorly developed, they were only developed in the basics, without depth, but it was okay... and the cinematography was impeccable, and the OST too!!
Now, what really made me think, "Hmm, what's this vibe all about?" was the guest actors (Sakaguchi Kentaro and Song Joong Ki) at the very end of episode 8... I mean, was I the only one who felt a colorful vibe coming from that 20-second exchange of glances?! Because I did, haha! Okay... I'm definitely being delulu but I felt lol -
2. Would You Marry Me?
Korean Drama - 2025, 12 episodes
Ok...
When it comes to marriage scams, NOTHING will surpass No Gain, No Love!!! Sorry not sorry...
This had everything to be great, many plot twists that, if well developed, would have made this series wonderful, but they dragged it out too much, which made the plot drag, thus losing the impact of the events. Besides, things got lost along the way, leaving plot holes and more holes in the script.
The main couple is very basic, without much chemistry, boring dialogues... but the secondary couples were wonderful!!!
I really liked the plot twists, but I wish they were better developed, and I think I would have liked this drama more if it had a little more comedy, maybe that would have captivated me more... -
3. Weak Hero Class 1
Korean Drama - 2022, 8 episodes
This one broke me in ways I wasn’t expecting…
What hit me the hardest wasn’t just the violence, but the emotional conflict between Suho and Beomseok.
Beomseok’s need to belong, his inferiority complex, and the way he clings to Suho as a source of safety felt deeply human. He didn’t just want friends, he wanted a place where he mattered.
Suho never meant to hurt Beomseok, and that’s the tragedy. Suho pushes people forward because that’s how he survives the world himself, but what he sees as guidance, Beomseok experiences as erasure. To Beomseok, authority has always meant being erased. Care and control collided, and neither of them realized it in time.
I’m genuinely frustrated that the series shows so little of Suho’s personal life. His emotional background is almost entirely absent, and that gap matters. Understanding why Suho is the way he is could have added even more weight to their conflict. Instead, that silence becomes part of the story itself.
Overall, the drama is cold, tense, and raw. The cinematography intensifies the characters’ emotions, and the pacing keeps the tension suffocating from start to finish. The acting is outstanding!!! Every glance, every silence feels heavy with meaning.
And that fucking ending… I’m speechless..

4. Dynamite Kiss
Korean Drama - 2025, 14 episodes
To me, this one is bittersweet, and I’ll tell you why…
The show started SO WELL. I was genuinely in love with them. Great chemistry, cute and intimate moments, comedy balanced with drama, cliché in the right amount… everything was lining up perfectly. And then the final episode happened.
WHY do writers still think amnesia is a good plot twist in 2025? They wasted precious screen time with memory loss instead of giving us what we actually deserved: the protagonists finally being happy. They robbed us of scenes that would’ve been beautiful just to shove in a cheap trope that added nothing.
I understand Seonwoo’s emotional block. He was deeply hurt: first by the mother of his child, then by Darim. Trauma doesn’t disappear overnight. BUT YEARS??? Years of pushing Hayeong away while clearly caring about her and giving her hope??? Unforgivable. Their arc had so much potential and was one of the most emotionally interesting parts of the show. Completely wasted.
The loose ends frustrate me the most. Seonwoo’s past is full of holes. I genuinely thought the mother of his child was dead, but no… she’s alive somewhere? No explanation, no closure.
And Darim’s sister storyline? A mess. She goes to Jeju to look for her sister, suddenly reunites with Jihyeok, they kiss, his memory comes back… and then she just forgets why she was even there and goes back to Seoul. Excuse me? What about the sister?
They tried to resolve in 20 minutes what should’ve been developed calmly over the entire episode. Instead, we lost meaningful resolution to an amnesia plot that cost one year of their lives.
Dynamite Kiss could’ve ended beautifully, but the ending was deeply disappointing. However, I adored the series.

5. The Great Flood
Korean Movie - 2025
This is one of those movies that leaves you feeling confused… and strangely affected at the same time.
This is a disaster drama that leans much more into symbolism and emotional chaos than into a logical, well-structured story. It’s less about understanding every detail and more about feeling the weight of the situation: fear, loss, helplessness, and survival. The flood itself feels almost like a metaphor for everything collapsing at once, externally and internally.
This isn’t an easy film to follow. The narrative feels fragmented, sometimes messy, and often unclear. A lot of things aren’t explained properly, and more than once I found myself lost, trying to understand what was happening and why. But the more I thought about it, the more it felt intentional.
Visually, the movie does a good job creating a heavy and oppressive atmosphere. The cinematography and sound design help sell that sense of panic and disorientation, even when the story doesn’t fully land. Some scenes are genuinely impactful, while others feel rushed or underdeveloped.
That said, this isn’t a movie for everyone. If you like clear explanations, strong narrative cohesion, and answers, this might be frustrating. For me, it was confusing, yes, but also oddly compelling. I didn’t fully understand it — and maybe that’s part of the experience.
Overall, The Great Flood is far from perfect, but it left an impression. It’s messy, symbolic, and emotionally heavy, and even though I felt a bit dumb watching it at times, I can’t say it didn’t make me feel something.

6. Ready, Set, Love
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
It could've been waaay much better...
I went into this expecting a simple rom-com with a quirky dystopian twist. And honestly? It had the potential to be exactly that: light, funny, and clever. But somewhere along the way, it lost itself.
The premise is actually very interesting: a world where only 1% of men remain, treated as rare, almost sacred beings, raised in isolation at the Farm and turned into something untouchable. The social commentary about gender imbalance, power, and commodification of men started off strong. It felt satirical, fresh, and full of possibilities. But instead of balancing comedy and critique, it slowly weakens both. The humor loses its sharpness, the social commentary fades, and what could’ve been bold becomes oddly safe.
The romance between Day and Son also feels watered down. It’s there, but it lacks depth and emotional payoff. Sorry not sorry. And I kinda feels Day little forced... I mean, the script wants her to be charismatic and revolutionary without properly earning it. I don't know... I just can't feel it in her.
What frustrates me the most is the ending. There’s an entire arc about exposing the truth behind the Farm, about breaking the system, about changing things from within. And when they finally exposed all the shit, I though: "Now they gonna be free for real and end the whole shit".... but no... they just run away... AGAIN.
And the open ending with cliffhanger?? The post-credits hinting that Son’s missing father might be alive, suggesting more story to tell, and not given me a 2° season????? B*tch you better be joking!!!
But I have tbh, it’s not a terrible series. It has good moments, the concept is fun, but overall it wastes its own potential. And that’s more disappointing than if it had just been shallow from the start.

7. Positively Yours
Korean Drama - 2026, 12 episodes
To marry or not to marry… that’s the big question.
I ended up enjoying this one way more than I expected. It’s not revolutionary by any means, and the love triangle setup feels very overused... I mean, one guy fights for the female lead, loses, and conveniently ends up with the other girl who has always liked him?? Seriously?! We’re in 2026… at this point, this formula feels lazy and overused.
That said, even with the predictable structure, the story still manages to be engaging. I honestly thought it would lean much harder into the enemies-to-lovers trope, but it softens that dynamic pretty quickly. And surprisingly, that worked for me. Instead of dragging unnecessary hostility, the relationship develops with more emotional maturity than I expected.
What I appreciated the most was how the series handled the theme of marriage. It doesn’t treat “not liking marriage” as a rejection of love itself. The characters have personal traumas and valid fears tied to the institution of marriage, not to partnership or commitment. That nuance made the emotional conflicts feel more grounded and less dramatic for the sake of drama.
The plot twists weren’t shocking, but they were satisfying enough to keep things interesting. And while the ending was good, it could have been stronger — it wraps things up neatly, maybe a little too neatly, without pushing the emotional payoff as far as it could have.
Overall, Positively Yours isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s a solid, comforting romance. It follows familiar paths, yet it handles them with enough sincerity to make the journey worthwhile.

8. Bloodhounds Season 2
Korean Drama - 2026, 7 episodes
ACK!!
WHAT WAS THIS SEASON???? I’m actually LOSING MY MIND!!
I loved EVERY SECOND of it. Even the fight scenes — which are usually not my thing — had me completely hooked. The action was intense, emotional, and just SO well done that I couldn’t look away for a second.
And can we PLEASE talk about Lee Sangyi??? This man crying??? I’m DONE. He literally breathes and I already want to protect him at all costs. The emotional scenes hit so hard, and he delivered every single one of them... And Woo Dohwan too??? Looking like an absolute unit and then crying like the softest person alive??? Yep… apparently I have a weakness for men built like refrigerators having emotional breakdowns apparently...
AND RAIN AS THE VILLAIN??? EXCUSE ME??? ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
He brought such a strong presence, and every scene with him felt tense and impactful. Like, you could feel the danger.
And that ending??? A CLIFFHANGER + POST-CREDIT SCENE??? They really said “you’re not moving on anytime soon” AND I'M FUCKING ON IT!!!!
This season was so intense, emotional, and ridiculously addictive. Amazing performances, great action, and a finale that leaves you NEEDING more. I loved season 1, now season 2, and if I don’t get a season 3, I will simply not survive TT

9. Trigger
Korean Drama - 2025, 10 episodes
You have to smile big to be loved... That is an odd thing to say to a kid...
I really loved this one, but I can’t lie, it lost some of its strength after episode 7...
The beginning had me completely hooked — the tension, the pacing, the psychological aspect… everything felt sharp and engaging. And then, somewhere along the way, it felt like it didn’t hit as hard as it did at first.
BUT let’s talk about Kim Young Kwang as Moon Baek!! What an INSANE villain. Seriously. Intelligent, calculated, and the kind of character that keeps you constantly on edge. You never quite know what he’s going to do next, and that made the first half of the drama especially addictive.
I knew him from The Secret Life of My Secretary, so seeing him here felt like watching a completely different person. The difference in his acting is HUGE — and in the best way possible. This role really shows how versatile he is, because he absolutely owned this character.
Even when the story started to lose a bit of momentum, his performance kept me invested.
Overall, this is a strong and gripping start, a slightly weaker second half, but an unforgettable villain and an outstanding performance that carries the show.

10. Shadow
Thai Drama - 2023, 14 episodes
WHAT. WAS. THIS. SERIES. I'm in awe!!!
I went in expecting one thing… and got COMPLETELY blown away.
First of all: this is NOT a BL (and I’m glad I didn’t go in expecting that, but it was really comfort to watch some of my favs BL actors doing a great job here). Yes, Nai is clearly in love with Dan, but romance is barely even 1% of the story. This is something else entirely, and honestly? so much better than I imagined.
Because what Shadow delivers is a MASTERPIECE of psychological horror and suspense.
I’m not even exaggerating when I say I’ve never watched something that blends supernatural elements, urban legends, religion, and a criminal case THIS well. Everything is so layered, so detailed, and so intentionally built that you’re constantly trying to piece things together.
And the plot twists??? FUCKING INSANE!!!!
Every time you think you understand what’s happening, the story shifts and reveals something new. It’s one of those shows that actually makes you think, and when things start connecting, it’s just mind-blowing.
The atmosphere is another level. The cinematography has this warm, almost haunting tone that fits perfectly with the late 90s setting, and it just pulls you deeper into the story. It feels immersive, heavy, and so well-crafted.
AND THE ENDING??? I’M STILL NOT OVER IT.
When you realize that it’s not actually Dan back… OH MY FUCKING FUCKS!!!
I was literally sitting there in shock. No reaction AT ALL, just like jaw on the floor, brain not processing, needing a full minute to recover. That twist??? Was too insane to cope at once.
This one is so complex, atmospheric, and incredibly well-written. A psychological horror that actually delivers on every level. This was a whole EXPERIENCE, not just a series!!

11. Don't Come Home
Thai Drama - 2024, 6 episodes
WHAT THE FUCK I JUST DID WATCHED??? (in a good way tho)
I went in expecting a supernatural mystery… maybe some suspense, creepy secrets, haunted-house vibes. And then suddenly??? an engineer just builds a TIME MACHINE in the middle of a criminal case???
I was sitting there like: excuse me??? what is happening??? KKKKK
Honestly, this show kept surprising me because every time I thought I understood the direction, it introduced something even crazier. What starts as a tense mystery slowly turns into something much bigger and stranger than expected.
And somehow… it works.
Yes, it definitely left me confused at times. There were moments where I felt completely lost trying to connect everything, but at the same time I was having so much fun watching the chaos unfold.
The atmosphere is one of the best parts: tense, eerie, mysterious, and always making you feel like something is off. Then you mix that with crime investigation, family secrets, and random sci-fi twists, and it becomes such a wild ride.
It’s not the clearest or most organized story ever, but it’s bold, entertaining, and memorable for how unexpected it is.

12. The Uncanny Counter
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?! T*T
I went in thinking it would just be a group fighting demons… and instead I got emotionally DESTROYED.
This drama hits you with so many feelings all at once. It’s not just about action or supernatural elements, it’s about grief, trauma, found family, and healing. Every character has their own story, and the way those stories are told?? so powerful.
I cried SO much watching this, it’s actually unreal LOL The emotional moments hit hard, and you really grow attached to each of them. Their bond, their pain, their growth… it all feels so genuine.
And what makes it so special it's the fact that they balance action and emotion so perfectly that you really feel what they felt... SUREAL!!! You get intense fights and high stakes, but also deeply human moments that stay with you.
I started season 2 immediately because I refuse to feel the emptiness T*T

13. The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
This season was soooo dragged out compared to the first one...
And that’s frustrating because I LOVED season 1. It felt emotional, fresh, intense — So Mun wanting revenge for his parents, new powers, plot twists every other episode… it was such an experience.
Season 2 though? I liked it, but it never really impacted me the same way.
The biggest issue for me was So Mun himself. I understand wanting to save people — especially Juseok — but OMG this man’s savior complex was driving me INSANE!! Every episode felt like: “it’s all my fault… / I need to save everyone… / Juseok is still a good person…” DUDE WE GET IT, MOVE ON!!
I understand why he wanted to save his friend. I really do. But the way he kept forcing this idea that people are purely “good” and therefore shouldn’t be hurt or face the consequences of their acts was SO frustrating. Meanwhile Juseok was out there unaliving people left and right and So Mun was still hesitating every five seconds...
I was like: BITCH JUST SEND THIS MF TO THE AFTERLIFE ALREADY PLEASE!! LOL
BUT NOTHING — and I mean NOTHING — irritated me more than Jeokbong ?
I’m sorry but, I know he's a good boy, BUT I COULD NOT survive five minutes around him. I mean, he has ZERO sense of urgency, panicking over EVERYTHING, and every time he smelled evil spirits I wanted to throw myself out a window...
The final itself was pretty much what I expected, nothing too shocking. The open ending did catch my attention a little, but now I’m just sitting here like… are we even getting a season 3 or not?
