Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1987. Filmmaker, dancer and choreographer. Nao Yoshigai is known for films such as “hottamaru・days” (winner of the newcomer award at the Bunka-cho Japan Media Arts Festival, 2014), “Grand Bouquet” (official short film selection in Cannes Director’s Fortnight, 2019) and “Shari” in which she also appears on screen (official selection in the short and mid-length film category at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, 2021).
