Fujisawa Hirokazu was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1981. He graduated from the Department of Sociology at Kwansei Gakuin University. He started creating independent films while still in university. After graduating, he participated in the film "Pacchigi!" (Directed by: Ikutsu Kazuyuki) as a volunteer staff member. Afterward, he moved to Tokyo and gained experience as an assistant director under the guidance of many directors. In 2011, he directed "嘘々実実" as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Young Filmmakers Project. In 2018, he won the Excellence Award for the 1st WOWOW Newcomer Scenario Award with "Forever 14." In 2020, "Lady to Lady" was released nationwide, presenting an unprecedented depiction of social dance between women, marking his debut feature-length film. Edit Biography
