Lee Young Mi is a South Korean musical actress. She graduated from Ewha Womans University with a bachelor's degree in Political Diplomacy. She participated in the 1995 MBC Campus Song Festival and won a gold medal. She made her debut in 1998 under the stage name Lee Ami with her 1st album "The First Story" but quickly transitioned to musical theater after the promotion period ended. In 2009, she began using her birth name and her unrivaled charisma and singing ability won her many roles in musicals such as "Chicago", "Rent", "Grease", among many others. She has sung many OSTs for animated series or videogames and a few for dramas. She has also provided the singing voice for the South Korean dubbing of Disney's "Disenchanted", "The Princess and the Frog", "The Lady and the Tramp 2", and others.
