Hashimoto Ichiko is a Japanese musician born in Kobe, Hyogo, Japan. She spent her childhood in Kobe before moving to Kumamoto and eventually Tokyo. After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan Ueno High School, she continued her studies at the Musashino Academy of Music, where she began her music career

From the 1990s onwards, she explored Japanese-language pops and bossa nova songs with original lyrics, and for a time delved into electronic music. Despite being recognized as a jazz pianist, her albums often maintain a distance from traditional jazz.

Her work also includes composing for commercials.

In March 2006, she released "Ub-X," her first album since "RahXephon".

On July 21, 2021, after a 12-year hiatus, she released her solo album "view."
