Oh Seung Hwan is a South Korean retired baseball player turned commentator. He graduated from Kyunggi High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Dankook University.

During high school, he was a starting pitcher but had to switch to the outfield after suffering a serious arm injury in 1999. He entered the 2001 KBO Draft but went undrafted, choosing to attend college instead. He missed two seasons after having arm surgery and moved back to pitching as a reliever in 2003. He represented his country at the 2004 World University Baseball Championship in Taiwan, winning the bronze medal.

He was finally chosen in the 2005 KBO Draft by the Samsung Lions, playing for the team until 2013. He then signed a 2-year contract with the Hanshin Tigers in Japan, where he spent 2 seasons. He moved to America and played for the St. Louis Cardinals, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Colorado Rockies between 2016 and 2019. He returned to the Samsung Lions in 2020 and became the league's all-time saves leader by the time he retired in 2025.

At the national level, he won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and 2nd place in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He now works as a commentator for MBC.
