Fan Chih Wei is a Taiwanese actor born in Zhudong, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He graduated from the Drama Department of Huagang Art School and made his acting debut in 1999 with the film "The Light of Darkness". However, his career faced significant setbacks due to personal controversies, and he retired from the entertainment industry after 2018.

In April 2010, Fan posted intimate photos of himself and his ex-girlfriend, Cyndi Wang, on his Facebook account, sparking public outrage. Later that month, in an interview with Times Weekly, he admitted to physically abusing Wang during their relationship and revealed private details about her. Following the interview, he issued a public apology for his actions.

In January 2011, Fan was involved in another controversy, when it was reported that he assaulted actress Ko Jia Ching. These incidents severely damaged his reputation, resulting in a prolonged period of professional inactivity.
