Kim Dae Shik is a South Korean neuroscientist, mathematician, author, and professor. He graduated from Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany with a double bachelor's degree in Psychology and Computer Engineering and later obtained a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Brain Science from the Max Planck Institute for Brain Science.

He primarily researches brain science and artificial intelligence (AI) and serves as a professor at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He previously worked as an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota and at Boston University.
