He made his debut in August 2017 (using the stage name Taro) as H.B.Y's lead vocalist and dancer with their first mini-album, "Make It Ride". The group was managed by Opus Entertainment (오퍼스 엔터테인먼트; formerly known as Rainbow Entertainment) and was never able to establish itself in the industry as their agency was too small to compete with the 4 major agencies in South Korea. So, after one more mini-album, the group disbanded in March 2020.
His status within the entertainment industry is not known as he is not represented by any agency and has not updated his social media accounts or his YouTube channel in several years.
