After several years as a trainee, he made his debut in October 2017 as TRCNG's leader and lead vocalist with their first EP "New Generation". The group then faced controversy when, in November 2019, he and Jo Woo Yeop filed a suit against TS Entertainment (TS엔터테인먼트) for violations of the child welfare legislation, alleging abuse, assault, and extortion. They were immediately separated from the group and the parents of the remaining members sued them and their families for spreading false information. The agency decided to put TRCNG on indefinite hiatus and he left the group.
In July 2022, he signed a contract with Gau Global Agency (가우글로벌에이전시) but it was terminated in early 2023 without him having done any project with the agency.
