Lee Ju Sil was a South Korean actress. She graduated from Sudo Girls' High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Welfare Psychology and a master's degree in Clinical Social Work, both from Catholic Kkottongnae University and a Ph.D. in Health Science from Wonkwang University.

She made her debut in 1964, and one year later, she became part of the 2nd open recruitment for voice actors at TBC. She also began her career in theater, earning praise for her roles in "Macbeth" and "Death of a Salesman" and rising to prominence during the 1970s and 1980s. She also appeared in support roles in many movies and dramas.

In 1993, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the doctors told her she had only 1 year to live. However, she received treatment and 13 years later, she was declared cancer-free.

Unfortunately, in November 2024, she complained of pain, and during a check-up, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer. She received treatment for 3 months, but on February 2, 2025, she passed away at the age of 80 at the home of her second child.
