Jung Mi Ae is a South Korean singer. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Korean Music from Yeungnam University. She made her debut in 2005 after winning the Grand Prize in the show "Korea Sings", earning her an exclusive contract with Jace Entertainment.

In 2007, she was part of the album remake "Miss Ballad" with the song "Summer Scent", but since then, she has struggled to become a well-known singer in South Korea. She appeared in "Hidden Singer 3" impersonating Lee Sun Hee and later participated in season 1 of "Miss Trot" just 67 days after giving birth to her 3rd child.

In 2021, she suspended all activities after she was diagnosed with stage 3 tongue cancer, shortly after her 4th child's 1st birthday. She underwent surgery to remove one-third of her tongue and spent most of 2021 and 2022 recovering and rehabilitating so she could be able to talk and sing again. After a long hiatus, she reappeared in an episode of "Immortal Songs" on April 2023.
