Shen Hai Yung is a Taiwanese Peking opera performer and actress. She began her training in Peking opera as a child at the Naval Hai-Kuang Chinese Opera Troupe's affiliated Hai-Kuang Opera Arts Experimental School in Taiwan.

In 1978, Shen joined China Television (CTV) as a regular performer, making her first TV drama appearance in "The Boundless Love for the Country". In 1986, while filming the CTV drama "The Golden Sword and the Feathered Arrow", she suffered a severe injury due to a wire accident, which led to a year-long recovery. Following this, she reduced her involvement in martial arts dramas.

She is also an educator. She teaches posture, international etiquette, lifestyle arts, and drama performance at the Chihlee Institute of Technology. In 2015, she earned a master’s degree in International Business Management from Chinese Culture University.

Beyond her acting career, she has developed an interest in arts and crafts. She received a certificate as a chief instructor in European paper lace embroidery from the Netherlands in 2003 and founded the Chinese Paper Embroidery Association in 2008, where she serves as chairperson. She trains teachers, organizes exhibitions, and promotes paper embroidery.

In 1989, she married Chen Jen Lei. They had one daughter and subsequently divorced in 1992.
