Wang Shau Di is a Taiwanese director and screenwriter. After graduating from the Department of Theatre at the University of Culture, he went to the United States to obtain a Master's degree in Theatre from Trinity University in Texas, and then studied film at the University of San Francisco. After returning to Taiwan, he was the assistant director and part of the scriptwriter for the film "The Battle of Erdan", such as "Strawman" and "Banana Paradise" directed by Wang Tong. He specialises in absurd comedies that portray the sorrows and joys of small people, with sharp and humorous strokes and endearing and human characters.
