Facing difficulties being raised Eurasian and to a single parent in egalitarian conservative Hong Kong, Jenny attributed her perseverance and street smarts to an extended familial support system and the many guardian angels in the business along the way. Known then to the public simply as 'Jenny', Tseng first established herself in Taiwan as a Mando-pop recording artist before launching into fame back in Hong Kong eventually as crossover Canto-pop royalty that allowed her to extend her versatility and international star appeal as a TV/film celebrity.
Jenny was married to kung fun idol, Alexander Fu Sheng for seven years until his untimely death at the age of 29 in a car crash.
