He finally achieved his dream of being a director with the film "Father and Son". He then joined Shaw Brothers in 1965 with a directing and acting contract.
After leaving Shaw Brothers in the 70s, he only directed one more film, "Springtime In Pattaya", before his death in 1993 at the age of 74.
