Widely recognized among Hong Kong’s first-generation “martial arts stars,” she started her career when she joined the Shaw Brothers’ training program at just 11 years old. She became known for her martial arts skills and grace as well as for her versatile roles, from action heroines to supporting roles.
Lily Li joined TVB and remained with the network until her retirement in 2020. With a remarkable career that spanned nearly six decades, her last TV appearance was as Grandma Tao in "Forensic Heroes IV".
On October 27, 2024, after a battle with cancer, she passed away at the age of 74.
