Martin Tong is a Hongkongese actor and voice actor. He attended the morning session of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Sun Kei Primary School and the Lio Pao Sann Memorial College. In 1990, he graduated from Yan Chai Hospital No. 2 Secondary School (Form 5). During Form 4, he joined a drama society and developed an interest in acting.

In 1993, he learned about the recruitment for the 6th Artistes Training Class from a friend and decided to apply. Despite opposition from his mother and girlfriend, he successfully entered the program, becoming an artist under TVB upon completing the course. In the early years of his career, he took on part-time jobs to make ends meet. Starting in 2005, he continued acting while also working as a freelance voice actor for Media Asia Entertainment.

In 2013, he switched to Hong Kong Television Network and subsequently took a hiatus from the entertainment industry to work in interior decoration. He returned to TVB at the end of September 2016, continuing as a contracted artist under the company. In late November 2020, he left TVB once again and focused on developing his career in mainland China.

After auditioning for "Flying Tiger" in 2011, he started running as a fitness activity, participating in the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon four times, and completing the half marathon twice.

At the end of November 2020, Tong left TVB once again, officially concluding his contract in January 2021, and focused on developing his career in mainland China.

In July 2023, Tong co-opened a mobile tea restaurant named "Sai Sei Cha Dong" in Jiangmen, selling Hong Kong-style food.
