Wang Zhao Xi was born in China in 1918. He moved to Hong Kong in 1947 and went on to edit more than 200 films there. He won the Gold Horse Film Award for Best Editing for the 1964 film Romance of the Forbidden City. Wang was hailed as "The King of Film Editing" for his professionalism and craftsmanship.
