I'm not sure what exactly did Xue family did to him to make him that frightened??It seems inconsistent with his…
Exactly! He is works for the emperor, he knows how to fight, and is very clever and he has no obligation for filial piety, why did he accept them imprisoning him especially when at the end he just took off on the horse. He could have just left at any time.
Midway through this one turned boring. The actress that played the FL was so emotionless the entire time. When she was with her family being strong an a leader to when she was with the ML supposedly happy but always with the same emotionless face. I’ve seen her in variety shows and she seems fine, she has a lot of differing expressions. I’ve seen her other dramas and it’s the same, she has no real ability to show expressions. . The last few episodes didn’t make this one better for me and how she manipulated him in the end was frustrating, there was no compromise and it was leave your family or nothing which is so unfair since her family is not any better. I’ve seen many revenge trope, family intrigue, strong FL dramas and this one ended on a bland note. I hope the ML chooses a better drama next time, would love to see him in a modern drama, nothing he has lined up seems very interesting.
Wow I totally spoiled myself with the ending and now I won’t watch it. I was shipping leyuan couple so much. How could he press the light it up button if he wasn’t serious about her, there’s no way he didn’t already think about the long distance thing while in the house and whether he could make it through or not. I’m just so sad for Yuan. She really put herself out there. The talk in the car about the ldr was uncomfortable and while the next day it seemed resolved it truly wasn’t. Why did he give her hope if he was just going to say no. Poor Yuan, you’ll find a younger better boyfriend in the future. Focus on your studies for now and forget him. Also if the rumors I’m seeing all over are true about LeChen….all I have to say is Scumbag.
As a fan of the original novel, I was really looking forward to this drama adaptation. Like with any adaptation, I expected some changes to the story, but unfortunately so much was left out that the drama lacked important context. I truly enjoyed the lead couple, their chemistry is exactly how I imagined it while reading the novel — however, the drama spent too much time focusing on the villains and didn’t fully develop HE Yans redemption/revenge story. I was especially disappointed that they didn’t find a way to give her a father and brother who loved her unconditionally, which was such a meaningful part of her journey in the book. In the novel Xiao Jue is portrayed as nearly unbeatable, sharp, strategic, valued and trusted by the emperor, even after the scandal involving his father. That portrayal made him such a compelling character, so I was disappointed that the drama kept making the villain Chu Zhao seem so much better at planning the next move, than Xiao Jue. In the drama , Chu zhao was always one step ahead of Xiao Jue, thwarting everything he was doing, which made his Xiao Jue feel off to me, especially since of the novel it was always xiao Jue who out maneuvered everyone else. That shift really changed the dynamic and weaken the impact of his character for me. They spent way too much time on the villains arc when they should’ve focus more on the other side characters and their stories. Chu Zhaos story line went on way way too long. Should of stopped focusing so much on him after Rundu. Anyhow, final thoughts, actors all did great, the vibe of the couple was good. Story was good, I enjoyed the romantic moments but overall it fell a bit flat for me with the change in the characters, which is unfortunate, 7/10 for me. I would recommend the novel if your looking for a good story, its well worth the read.
10 for the talent and zero for Hybe’s messy predetermined storyline’s. Less of the average staff/judges and…
I just started watching and I agree, 1 minute to change the routine or 1 hr to learn a new routine and then be eliminated is very unfair. It’s frustrating to watch. I wish the judges were more well known. But overall there are some very talented trainees so I will look forward to their debut.
Watched this drama cause I got so many YouTube short recommendations. The leads chemistry is off the charts but seriously the FL actions became distasteful after they fell in love. They both had issues but I don’t get why she just didn’t tell the truth. He obviously felt remorseful and wanted to be with her no matter what. And that ending was ridiculous. She was still lying and willing to divorce and they basically made the ML bend over backwards just to convince her. ML role was good. Will be looking forward to more of his dramas. Fl was good too but they made her role almost unlikable, hopefully she’ll get a better role in future.
Saw some YouTube compilations of this drama so started the show, dropped midway cause the FL was way too passive and so flat emotion wise. Why the ML was so stuck on her is a mystery. Should have left it to the YouTube compilation as it was more satisfying.
Wow todays episode had so many ups and down. Poor Luke and Momo. I actually cried from how sad it was. Why did she leave…there was only one more day. Others who didn’t have a match and who felt sad still stayed til the end.
What in the world is this story. I started cause the trailer fooled me into thinking this would be so good. I’m on the fence to drop or not. I can take a lot of nonsense but not sure I’ll make it through another 7 episodes. Darn leads are so cute…
1. What does DZ look like? 2. What's the real reason behind DZ forming WuFeng and terrorizing everyone? 3. Who…
Wow! Totally agree with you on all those questions! Especially about Wufeng. It was never clear why they tried to hard to infiltrate the Gong family other than I suppose world domination. Here’s to hope there is a second season.
I agree with you. I’m not sure they sincerely like each other or just doing it for the show. Also for 11 she…
I feel bad for Luke too. He finally took a step towards one of the two girls who have been pursuing him, but instead of a more positive response he got hit with a reality check of all the doubts and concerns and a “I can’t respond to your feelings”….. I want to ask her, why did you fight for time with him when there is someone else who truly has strong feelings for him. Meimei is the one who has been so sincere and honest. I’m worried about next episode for her. (I don’t think Luke is right for her but still her heart has been on out there the whole time so feel so bad for her)
I'm half way through ep 19 and I feel for the guys and what they're going through. The women are so ambiguous...especially…
I agree with you. I’m not sure they sincerely like each other or just doing it for the show. Also for 11 she seems like she has a lot of things she wants a guy to do for her so outside in the real world things likely won’t be as ideal as they are in the show.
Really loving the show. It’s so much better than the Korean version which I dropped. Also I think the music is so good. Goes so well with what’s happening!
Feeling a bit like I did after the last episode of Chains of Heart. Too much drama in a last episode that was…
Omg I agree about the whole brother thing. Glad they both took it well but there should have been more feelings on both sides, it was just odd to find your long lost bro and there not be questions, shock? Or something, Even just needing time to process.
