Except for obvious things like office drama, rich CEO and poor girl plot, I want to talk about the energy these two series shares. Between all the shows I’ve seen, I choose to compare these ones. I feel like they are one the heir of the other. Respectively 2018 and 2022 (where there is one more step into the female-male inequality theme), they are my favourite rom-com office drama, the only ones I watched again. There acting is marvellous, the cliches are in their right place, the episodes are actually funny and there is no ‘filling the space’ thing. Also, the FL has a life, a personality and doesn’t seem the usual ‘lady in distress’ kind and the ML are EXACTLY the same person. And if you ask me what to watch next? I’m gonna go with ‘Love Scout’ 2025, third drama that completes the scheme, with a further step into the female-male imbalance (female CEO and male secretary).

What these two dramas have in common is, essentially, the presence of a strong female lead. In both cases we have an exeptional, attractive female figure that is going to change her life drastically (even though in different ways and due to different past events). Additionally, in both cases, there is a healty relationship. I'm talking about extremely green flags: the male leads support and stay by 'her' side. Finally, deeper themes are also developed in the two series: some characters are psychologically and emotionally well presented and analyzed (in particular Jung Soo Min and Hong Doo Shik).
