Yeah kdj and yjh were not casted well, although i rlly like Ahn hyoseop, it feels like they were just cast bcs they’re big names in the industry, which is fair enough i guess they need to make money. It’s a shame bcs this movie could’ve been something amazing if they honoured the source material. But from the trailer it seems they’ve taken a more serious generic action route. Which isn’t what readers read ORV for. I don’t think the movie will be horrible but it won’t be anywhere near as good as the novel. It shouldn’t have been a movie in the first place, there’s not enough airtime to cover the details of the plot sufficiently.

I watched his surivival show and he was amazing there. I thought that it’s such a shame that his talent had to be buried since the show didn’t perform well. But recently he’s going viral in China so at least he has more opportunities now. Not sure if he’ll be performing anymore tho. It’s rlly sad that China doesn’t have a good market for singer dancers like kpop.
As much as i disagree with what iqiyi is doing i still think it was smart. Showing these trainees in their most desperate moments gets more people watching. The show made literally no noise a week ago but now there’s a few trending posts about it, all about the show’s cruelty. So iqiyi knows exactly what they’re doing. 2. they’re doing a voting thing on weibo where the trainees with most votes will get benefits. chinese trainees have a huge advantage on weibo especially since it’s hard to create an account if ur outside china.
3. the show isn’t even broadcasted on Korean tv. It’s only available online, so im confused as to how sbs is contributing.

what’s interesting is that a larger than usual proportion (compared to other survivals) of contestants has already debuted. i mean someone debuted literally this month too (shao ziheng). and if they haven’t debuted they probably are an influencer of some sort. like the unknown trainees are the minority here. this is probably the most famous batch of survival contestants ever. so the competition for this show will be crazy to watch.
