Yeah I am also looking for that kind of ending. Can't help but think that it might be censorship issues getting in the way. Who Rules the World ending was super disappointing to me.
I found the part where JinAn was mourning Qiaoer's death so special. So rare to spend time showing that the ML has an important friendship with a female character. Really ups the characterisation in this drama. They all have depth that I don't see often in other crdramas.
LBFAD, which was from the same author, also really impressed me by with it's characterisation. The 2ML, 2FL, and even the villain (not the black cloud) were well developed.
