I don't really know the context of the beard but since people kept bringing it up I assumed it was there for a more than couple of seconds. If I will watch it or not is still up in the air but as for your last comment ( which btw could definitely be worded in a more polite manner, rather than trying to attack my "perspective" on things but all the power to you if that's what gets you through the day), I don't think the "beard" has to stand in connection to if it is or isn't a good series but more if it's supposed to be a more light hearted or serious one, which is why I made my comment in the first place.

NOVEL SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

In the novel, it's a mix of it being a guy and it being his "first guy", cause ( I think) there is also a scene before where Jiang Xiao Shuai puts Wu Suo Wei's hand on his &#%& and Wu Suo Wei doesn't really mind, so he questioned it too why he reacts so strongly when anything with Chi Cheng happens. In the show the only kissed that time in his bedroom but in the novel some more stuff happened, either way the outcome was that he ended up getting sick and going home for a couple of days and doing some "research" after that he is more willing to for exmaple kiss and he also enjoys it. ( I hope that's what you meant)

Heard the bts was a marketing move, which I suspected until everyone started talking about the request to take it down.

If it's true Honestly it seems to have worked quite well, if it doesn't make issues, I don't really care. I feel like that he smokes isn't really the issue, as you pointed put it fits quite well with his character but the amount is insane. He bascially has one in every scene he isn't talking ( and even then sometimes). Every time he pulls one out I'm worried for this poor guy's lungs 😔. ( I'm assuming they are fake cigarettes but inhaling smoke of any kind isn't all that great for your lungs)

I want to hope for the best so bad but if one leaked bts already leads to them being worried ( which obviously is precautionary, as of now, and totally understandable) it's kinda up in the air what will happen in the weeks this is airing and where they obviously also have romantic scenes in the show which will definitely be spread.

But fingers crossed hoping for the best, I saw the leak on insta and went on rednote to look if its also on there, I assume most people took it down on there since its nowhere to be seen. As for the people seemingly reporting the show 💀💀 genuinely leads you to question how many people have too much time on their hands.
