He plays an established BL actor that, magically, pops around when there's a scandal to offer support to the leads.…
Offer support on the outside but there’s definitely something shady about him lol at this point it’s not a question of if the other shoe would drop but When. It keeps on dropping every episode lol
I think anyone who watches this series without skipping, a series that has really never been in the mainstream…
I was on a call with a client while watching that scene and I had to put them on hold for 5 minutes to cry out my laugh. He's always in a "Never let them know your next move" mood and it caught me off guard. Even now every scene is still hilarious to me even though i'v seen it so many times. I can assure you, the amount of times I yelled TOH is more than the amount of times Toh said "P'Nuae" in the whole series. Lol.
I think anyone who watches this series without skipping, a series that has really never been in the mainstream…
ohhh lol… sorry… I see a lot of not so nice comments on here (which yours is not) and I tend to take everything seriously! Thank you for your support of this series. 🥰💙💙💙💙
i don't know if i admire or am terrified of everyone who watched this entire drama without skipping a single scene
I think anyone who watches this series without skipping, a series that has really never been in the mainstream (in regards to the main leads not being the typical BL characters and the series not having the typical BL trope), I would say admire and thankful because to watch a series as a whole without skips no matter how cringy or get 2nd embarrassment from it shows that they're more open minded and are able to try to understand where the character is coming from without judgement. Not everyone is perfect and we all have flaws and this series shows us how we, with all these flaws, can also be loved without changing ourselves.
I believe that most of the BL community has gotten used to watching the same old series trope. Most BLs that have come out so far literally have the same plot, they just have different actors playing them. I think most are afraid to get out of that comfort zone. I mean look at 2moons series... we're going to have a 3rd version of the same story but with different actors this time. This will be the 3rd version and everyone is excited because it's a familiar plot.
Sorry for the essay... I just think that unique series like this should be given a chance without preconceived ideas about it but we're all human so that might be a lot to ask from others. But yes I admire those who have watched this drama without skipping lol
Some Spoilers if you have not watched the whole series⚠️
When people say Toh is a stalker and criticizes his collecting habits, it makes me wonder if they’re deflecting cuz of their own habits. Like do y’all realize how Nuea is sort of a celebrity at his Uni where people literally interrupt him from what he’s doing to ask for pictures and send video messages to their friends? Toh was just happy to see him from afar and never bothered him. He never stalked him. (The title should’ve just been SCOY)
Yes he collected a few things others may find questionable, but everything else he did like Taking pictures of him at school events, making a comforter or of Nuea’s image for his bed, having Nuea’s photos and cardboard cut out in his room and etc… is LITERALLY fan behavior (tell me you don’t know anyone who’s a kpop or other artist fan does not have any of this) and we, who take pics of our idols at concerts and save confetti from the event (like Toh did from the basketball game), who admire our idols from afar and wish them nothing but happiness (like Toh did for the first part of the series-) who give our idols gifts like food, drinks and etc… like Toh did.
Toh never tried to inserting himself into Nuea’s life. On the contrary, Nuea was the one who barged into Toh’s everyday life by using photography as an excuse to lure him in Because Nuea realized that Toh was different from others who didn’t have a problem disturbing his daily life, and that If he didn’t make a move, Toh would not ever come to him on his own.
Also tho. Toh really likes Nuea, he was reserved as well because Toh was not sure if Nuea liked men or not… since he has only seen him with a girl aka Prao. So even after they got close (before they became a couple) ,even after teasing eachother on the daily, Toh was not only afraid of his love not being reciprocated, he also didn’t know if Nuea would accept a man loving him (this is clearly shown on Ep. 6).
If anyone ever wants to see what’s a stalker is, it’s Kong who kept stalking and inserting himself into Toh’s life with bad intentions. And this can never be compared to Toh’s Love of Nuea.
I don't understand why Bew stays with Toon after finding out about her part with Gus pretending relations.
I think he’s brewing tea lol like he now has been betrayed by everyone around him so it’s fake it till you make it at this point. I think it’s sus how he’s getting Gus on his side and planning to drop their managers.. I think the BL industry might’ve poisoned him and now he’s planning a very carefully crafted planned revenge on all 3 😳👀
While I'm enjoying the drama here, I kind of feel like Cheewin noticed the popularity of fact-based Lovely Writer/Call…
Actually, this series has been in the works since 2019. And one of the screen writers was actually a BL actor who has been and seen a lot of these happenings and even the acting coach and director have seen it in real life when working with actors. The acting coach is very open when he talks about scenes he actually witnessed irl and they decided to add it into the series… one of them being a manager being cyber bullied by fans.
I wish it was fictional because to even think one issue that was brought up in this series, has ever happens to BL couples irl is heart breaking. But from what has been publicized about things that happens irl with KP actors, LBC, 2Moons2 and a recent incident with Yoon where he was publicly sexually assaulted by MC but he was made to apologize the next day cuz fans were loud about the assault and that 60some year old MC had a melt down, shows how the BL industry treats these actors!
Did i miss something? can someone pls explain what does the girl and the guy have to do with the scandals?
The guy (Yo) used to be an actor alone with Gus years ago but Gus got the job Yo wanted and seemed to have animosity between. When they talked in the last Ep, and Gus apologized about taking the job, an anger seemed to pass over Yo’s face but he laughed it off and said everything was ok between them and no hard feelings. Which turned up to be a lie.
And the girl, it’s the same one that baked the brownies (I think with shrimp in them) and she might be an anti fan pretending to be FC? Or was paid? I’m not clear about that at all.
Mostly… about 70% based on behind the scenes of BL industry. They e combined the stories of BL actors and used…
True. I can think of 5 couples from top of my head where a divide came about which side they would be taking.
Ahh BL out fans protecting the CPs, it’s a wishful thinking I have where after finishing WOY, for fans to become aware and not judge things based on what is shown in public but it is a bit difficult to change certain habits of fans so this thought of mine, I’ll probably keep as wishful thinking for now.
This series is absolutely phenomenalThey manage to surpass themselves every episodeI don't know what to expect…
It has literally taken me over 2hours to finish each episode.. from ep. 1 till now cuz I keep pausing for what I watched to sink in. The rating on here is a complete joke.
Mostly… about 70% based on behind the scenes of BL industry. They e combined the stories of BL actors and used…
Same.. the director and acting coach have already said for us not to even start thinking who it’s about as they have mixed the storylines of irl happenings of BL actors that it’s kind of impossible to pinpoint.
The more I watch WOY the more I feel for these actors, even the ones im not a fan of. It’s also making each and everyone of us to look out for any possible abuse that might be going on where an actor isn’t able to speak out. Im sure there are a lot of BL actors watching this and nodding their heads.
Phew, what a rollercoaster of emotions! I LOVE that they are showing people be REAL! Bew being a fixer, peacekeeper…
I was also wondering if it was the same brownie as the one the FC made at the beginning… cuz she was telling Gus to eat it and was telling them what was in the brownies but she was told to stop and leave!Everything is sus rn… like EVERYTHING!!!
this is like a cheap cringy BL built for the masses
The masses? Lol I have not seen this much representation for under represented lgbtq+ population … ever. Just say you don’t like a series that doesn’t have the typical cliché BL storyline based on ur watch list… cuz to call it cheap cringy without watching the whole series is a bit sad. 🤷🏽♀️
I think it's more so telling us what to look out for (i.e. toxic environment actors might be in, or on how to…
Yep! And it comes back in circles cuz fans want these ships and NC scenes and fan service, and companies deliver and fans want more and sometimes most of these artists might not want to and they get hate from fans and they side with the other actor and tension is created and it becomes more toxic.
The one person I think of is Saint. He is a wonderful actor who never liked doing fan service and only focused on work while some fans wanted him to immerse himself in the ship. Some think that he “can’t keep a partner” but in truth, he’s just there for work and moves in after work is done. which most actors want but are forced to do ships/fan service and etc…
So I’m really proud of him in how he started his own company and recruited amazing talents like BillySeng/HengPrise/FreenBeck and Looknam. He promised himself that no other artist that’s in his company will go through what he went through. He has opened the door for them and is signed at one of the major channels (CH3) while some told him he won’t be able to since he’s only a “BL actor” … which is kinda sad cuz some see BL as something that’s inferior 🤦🏾♀️
But a over all, I think having a person like Saint in the industry is good as he knows what these artists go through & tries to help them 🥰💙
There's something about this series that doesn't make me 'run' to it when a new episode drops each week, instead…
Honestly speaking, some, if not most, were kind of worried about this series as the director was P'Chee, who directed YYY, Y series, My candy and etc... but this series has been in the works since 2019 so they have been very sensitive and taken every measure to tell the truth of what's going on behind the scenes in the BL industry. I've loved P'Chee's directing in "Why R U" and "SCOY" so I was hopeful and I'm glad people are actually paying attention to it. Thank you for your post :)
