I may be alone in this but this drama with the company's is really getting annoying. For some reason my timeline…
It would be nice if they could get out of contracts without getting sued but we are only outsiders so it’s easy to speak about others situations. Don’t let the earlier statements fool u or others as there are many issues coming up regarding companies involved. SmartBoom didn’t sign up for this, they were blindsided by their companies but u don’t have to take my word for it.
Oh I was so scared for them to break rules in China and get in trouble! So hopefully they are back and safe! They…
Lmao they keep forgetting their distance and staff/MC had to intervene a few times! It’s not just about touching, it’s also about what they can and can’t say! But I’m glad it went well. 😅
This is their first project together and we just got an official fandom name for them a couple days ago so it…
The fandom Name is “Auralis” they put Aurora+Polaris together.
Explanation of the name 👇🏽
Aura "Aura" refers to a radiant light or subtle energy that emanates from someone or something. It symbolizes the warmth, inspiration, and heartfelt emotions fans share with Smart and Boom.
-lis The suffix "-lis" adds a soft, lyrical tone with a touch of fantasy. It evokes the sound and feel of "Polaris" - the North Star — a guiding light in the darkness. Auralis = A Warm Guiding Light The name "Auralis" represents a light that shines from love, connection, and positive energy. It's the fans who surround and uplift Smart and Boom at every step - a radiant presence, always guiding them forward.”
Boom’s color -🖤 Smart’s color -🩷 Fandom color -💙 (Nebula Blue)
I completely disagree with your comment, aside from acknowledging SmartBoom’s undeniable chemistry and acting,…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to clarify your viewpoint. You’re absolutely right that everyone experiences a series differently, and not connecting with something doesn’t mean a person missed the point. We all bring our own expectations and perspectives to the stories we watch, and that shapes how they resonate with us.
That said, my intention wasn’t to negate your experience but to offer a different interpretation that felt meaningful to me. I didn’t find the series perfect either (like I said earlier) there were definitely moments where pacing could’ve been more refined, and I would’ve loved more time with Jin’s inner world earlier on. So you make a fair point there.
What stood out for me, though, were the subtle emotional beats. I mentioned the candy and that early emotional support scene not as a full justification for the romance, but as the beginning of something, a shift in energy, a sign of connection. As for Akin’s feelings, I think it was a slow build from admiration to trust to something deeper. But I agree it could’ve benefited from more space to breathe on both sides.
At the end of the day, I respect your take even if I saw things differently. I think discussions like this are valuable; Not to “win” an argument, but to understand different lenses through which we experience a story.
This was a weird viewing experience for me. I wanted to love TopForm but I couldn't. I love SmartBoom's chemistry…
I completely disagree with your comment, aside from acknowledging SmartBoom’s undeniable chemistry and acting, which I also love. But I think the rest of your take overlooks the emotional core of TopForm, especially when it comes to Jin.
First off, Jin wasn’t a fan or someone with a crush on Akin before working with him. In episode 1, he asked his managers about Akin purely because of his popularity. His managers even pointed out that Jin always went along with everything, that his heart was “empty,” and they hoped one day it would be filled. That says a lot about where Jin was emotionally at the start.
The shift began during the crying scene on set. Jin wasn’t able to connect emotionally, and Akin gently helped him through that block, placing his finger over Jin’s heart. It was subtle, but it was the first time Jin felt something stir. Later that same night, Akin handed him a new version of the candy Jin had been holding earlier that day; A small but thoughtful gesture that revealed a softer, more caring side to Akin beneath his serious, nonchalant exterior. That’s what sparked Jin’s curiosity and the beginning of deeper feelings.
To say the series lacked flow or structure dismisses the intentional emotional layering and character nuance. It wasn’t about ticking off plot points. It was about feeling the shifts, the tension, the vulnerability, and the transformation in both characters. The pacing reflected real emotional growth, sometimes slow, sometimes messy; just like life.
Yes, Akin had the louder arc, but Jin’s quiet strength, unwavering care, and emotional evolution were never sidelined, they were just told differently. And that balance worked beautifully for the story TopForm set out to tell.
The show didn’t spoon-feed its meaning; it trusted the audience to feel it. That’s what made it so resonant for many of us.
TopForm isn’t perfect, no series is, but it’s far from average. It had heart, depth, and artistry that reached beyond just good acting. And for a lot of us, it connected on a much deeper level.
You don’t have to love it, of course. But to call it average while overlooking its emotional intention feels like missing the point of why it resonated with so many.
P.S. Totally agree that we absolutely need more SmartBoom series in the future. 🥰💙
Burning questions on that finale! Who is “Lit” and what is his(?) relationship with Jade?! Also, what was…
Lit seems to be someone Jade had a relationship with a long time ago!
As u may remember, Sigma told Akin to leave acting industry for a chance to direct his grandma’s play into a film. & Jade telling him that he got the rights to “Blood Wedding” and telling him to comeback to acting is basically him going against Sigma (a huge company). That’s what we’re going to see in Season 2! How all of it will be handled!
@Itemarh saying that 99% of the posts on X are about the nc scenes is too exaggerated. im on x on a daily basis…
💯💯💯 I see NC scene talk here and there but it’s mostly how each episode brought different emotions to make Akin and us cry! And How puppy Jin is and the chemistry JinAkin / SmartBoom have is so beautiful! 🥹😭🤍
TopForm, SmartBoom/JinAkin LITERALLY brought me back from my indefinite BL hiatus! This was such an Amazing Series! EVERYTHING from Acting to cinematography to production and OST … just perfect!
I’m excited for season 2! If it follows the manga, They might shoot in Spain as P’Jade talked about “Blood Wedding” at the end when he called Akin.
“Federico García Lorca's 1932 tragedy Blood Wedding is a Spanish tale of forbidden love, revenge, and societal constraints”!!!
im finishing it after MONTHS but i see y I dropped it it cringy and its a ick like the acting is terrible coming…
I think some missed that this series was Satire. Everything is exaggerated. It would be bad if it was supposed to be a serious show and ended up being cringe but it was made to be cringy and show the other side of the LGBTQ population that has never been represented in a positive manner. I think all the actors, esp. Toh did such an amazing job. But to each their own! 🤷🏽♀️
We would actually say, if this series isn’t for you, it’s ok… u can move on. No hard feelings! Not everyone has the same taste in series or plot!
