Me seeing that the most liked review is basic asf but has one sentence " you may think your favorite characters…
No surprises there, actually.
In the book, I sort of hated Vegas, but in the series, he's so surprisingly complex, that I'm compelled to fall for him. Actually, I think all the characters are morally grey, no one, not even Chay anymore, is good or bad.
Maybe except Elizabeth and Sebastian, but anyway...
I personally think that Vegas and Pete are more ambiguous and grey than KinnPorsche. because they are mostly unreadable, especially Pete. At first glance, one would think he's a perfect cherub (he is though, not gonna lie), but he has his dark moments, like in episode 3, the way he was kicking the guy so ruthlessly and blankly under Kinn's orders was so contrasting to him flexing his cute butt in episode 1.
My problem with the main couple is that they wear their hearts on their sleeve. Especially Porsche. Kinn also does that too, unknowingly, but he DOES, so that makes them both very vulnerable mafias and characters, and also very predictable. True, they provide the balance for VegasPete's crazy dynamic, but at the end of the day, the better ship is ultimately VegasPete. Because they are very calculative, both of them, and they rarely let their emotions get the better of them.
I love all three ships, but in my (personal) opinion, KimChay was sort of blank, because we don't know any personality of Kim's. So, that kind of spoiled stuff for me, plus they didn't give it enough time to develop, for the characters to grow on me.
I love VegasPete at a fangirl level, and rationally, they are the power couple.

I still don't know why heart is full of KinnPorsche though, they are my ultimate biases.

Also... one rhing doesn't make sense to me... if they said season 2 was gonna be VegasPete centric, then how are they gonna solve this mystery ending? Like... the plot twist mostly centres around Kinnporsche, not Vp. So... i don't understand how theypl solve it with Vp as a main ship

SInce I love KinnPorsche more than I love VegasPete, and Porsche is my favorite character, I wanna do a character analysis on him, because I've seen a lot of people calling him selfish and stupid for many of his decisions. While they weren't really the best, I also don't think that he should be called a bad brother or a bad boyfriend either. Neither is he as stupid as people make him out to be (he's not smart, but he's not stupid either, otherwise how tf has he survived alone with a gambling uncle and Chay?)
Initially, we were introduced to Porsche as a caring and selfless brother, who literally went and got beaten up just so Chay could study with a roof over his head.
He proved himself to be a naive (and a bit dim) ball of sunshine until the dub-con scene, where Kinn pretty much sucked out all the sunshine inside him. We see him coming to terms with all of it, and still having a heart big enough to forgive Kinn. Most people call him stupid or having no self-esteem, but Kinn proved his sincerity in his apology, Porsche didn't do it randomly. Time and time again, he has proved that it is his constant trait to always forgive people because that's the way he is, he doesn't hold a grudge for long. He forgave Kinn with the dub-con, then with him calling him a slut, also the situation with Tawan. In my opinion, he definitely tried to let go of Kinn, but he really loves him, and I know from personal experience, that when you love someone, it's not easy to stay away from them ,even if they're the ones who are in the wrong.
After the situation with Tawan, he fell so hard for Kinn that he pretty much forgot everything else which mattered to him before. However, before we judge him too harshly, I think that him being a bad brother to Chay wasn't intentional, he gave his brother love at the swimming pool, and in the end, everything started BECAUSE of his love for Chay, am I right? He'd been living for Chay all his life, so its only natural for him to lose himself to kinn because, to him, it finally felt like he was HAPPY with someone other than Chay. In the ned, he didn't actually forget Chay, he probably hid him in the bar because, maybe to him the bar would be the most obvious place to hide Chay so no one would come looking for him there (we know he was wrong there, but he didn't FORGET) or else he'd never even have bothered to hide him anywhere in the first place and would've forgotten him .
As the series progresses, we see Kinn and Porsche's traits rubbing off on each other, while Kinn gets the good traits, Porsche becomes increasingly selfish, and refuses to see anyone beyond Kinn, proved when he sold Pete off to Vegas. At first, even I was thrown back. We'll probably never know what he was thinking when he did it, but IN his character, he probably thought that Pete and Vegas needed closure, and that Pete wasn't happy BECAUSE of being away from Vegas (which was also true). his way of going about it was horrible, but I feel like it would be more in character for him to sell Pete out with this intent (like killing two birds with one stone). So knowing him, he was doing it with the thought of having Pete's best intentions at heart. Also, not excusing his actions, but he was mentally very very disturbed. He literally had an avalanche of truths thrown on him, and he had absolutely no idea what to do. I read someone calling him unfair to Kinn who tried to trust him and Porsche did the opposite. But, what could he really be expected to do? If he had confronted Kinn about it, Kinn would have been on his father's side. So he went to Vegas, because he knew that Vegas wouldn't look at the situation from an emotional standpoint.
Lastly, AGAIN on the ending, people are calling him stupid for believing Korn's lies and trusting him. I think that by now we've established that he has trust issues, he trusts absolutely NO ONE, except maybe Chay. He's also become sort of sly (again as seen when he played Vegas), so it's quite possible that he too, is just silently biding his time because he knows that flying off the handle is only going to raise Korn's guard up. Also, he knows he's a terrible bodyguard, so he can't be thinking that Korn picked him to lead the minor family because of his talents, so he knows something must be up. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but instinctively, he knows how to play others' game. This was seen when he pretended to be drunk in episode 7 so he'd know what Vegas was up to, and baiting Vegas with Pete unflinchingly.
I think what makes his character stand out to me is the fact that he's so unapologetically flawed and human, and his character development has been realistic to me, at least. Obviously, if one is mafia boyfriend, he's not going to be a ball of fluff forever. Pete may have valued his relationships when he stepped up for Porsche, but that ultimately put him in a difficult spot. Had Porsche done the same, then he'd have no way of knowing what happened to his family. Not to say his actions were GOOD, but it was just a way of showing his ugly side. SO yes, Porsche's negative development sets him apart from development of other characters like Kinn and Vegas, and while some of his actions are despicable, I think that he only serves to realize the quote Pete stated in the beginning of the series, that no one was truly good or bad, and that everyone in the ned, is driven by their own motivations.
That's just my opinion (because I've seen so many posts appreciating Vegas, Pete, hell even Kinn. I just hoped there'd be one for our cannonball so I made one myself). I tried not to be so biased in this, but he honeslty is such a good character, and I pretty much watched the show just for him.
