Really? As someone who cringed because of his acting alot in the heartkillers and hidden agenda, I think he has come a long way since then and I do think he sells the character believably in this episode for now.
While I do see the comparisons to Vegas and fully agree with them, I still feel like pheem is a bit less emotionally uhhh volatile. Like he's not a complete sadist yet. Also I'm ashamed to say it but I rewatched the fuck out of the scene with pheem being choked by jason- for people who played each other, these two sure do have shit load of chemistry together and I'm sort of ghost shipping a little hehe. I'm kind of not that mad or disturbed by pheem playing Thun like that because I think it's used (so far) well as his character flaw and protective mechanism. Also I think (not blaming Thun of course) but if Thun had believed him during that confrontation, pheem would've dealt with the sugar daddy situation differently. Not saying that he wouldn't have seduced him, but he'd definitely have let Thun in on the plan or something similar. Thun not believing him though completely valid and I'd have probably done the same, sort of gave him the push to get Jason. To me, pheem doesn't look like he has any obvious feelings for Thun yet. Like he sort of does care, but not enough. And maybe it's just me, but I don't feel Thun has that many deep feelings yet either. So far, he's been reluctant and hesitant at every turn. Both of them definitely care for each other but they're not quite at the "ride or die for you" phase which I think is a good thing because that happening so early in the game would be quite ridiculous. Regardless, I enjoy gray characters when they have nuance to them so I definitely adore pheem here alot so maybe it's just my bias speaking. Overall, I don't feel that bad for thun for being played because it doesn't feel like a gigantic betrayal, rather a blip. (Plus it'll all come together when they fuck it out anyway)

I personally feel like khem and pharan's chemistry is a bit more subtle because both characters are less intense with their emotions especially in the case of khem. In the initial episodes, I sort of also thought that there was no chemistry but their nc scene in episode 8 (or 9?) really proved me wrong because I think they have more of a sweet underlying bond instead of explosive (idk how to explain but this is the best I can do) and now the scene in episode 10 where pharan kisses khem gave me all the butterflies because it was so sweet. That's just my opinion but I do think the pair has a lot of chemistry, it's just not the explosive kind.

Um i just came back to mdl after a long while to catch up, and it seems like people are caught up in a lot of fan wars, especially over their preferred couple in the show. I just want to say thats fine, but one shouldn't undermine one actor just to favor the other. In my opinion, Apo's acting stood out the most to me in the entire show, it is another thing that the main couple's story went down the drain after episode 7 which is a shame because the way I see it, they had a lot of potential to shine, so admittedly VegasPete got the spotlight. Their story might have been interesting but the acting made it shine. So in the end all the actors gave it their best shot and its wrong to drag one down just so another can shine. Yes, in my opinion Apo shined the most, along with Bible but that doesn't mean the rest of them were bad or cringy. Sorry for the rant, but its a bit triggering to read the fanwars so I just thought maybe I could point it out. Thanks.

The original trailer shows that Akk will be the one to jump (hopefully thats one of Ayan's dream sequences) but I somehow feel that Ayan will be the one in deeper danger and its very likely that something could happen to him too, because the creepy stuffed dummy which is being burnt in the trailer has an uncanny resemblance to Ayan. Or it could be used as symbolism for rebels like him.
I don't know about anyone else, but I will personally NEVER forgive Jiwoo for whatever he said to Seojoon after their kiss in episode 5. Like Seojoon was so sweet and happy after that, as if he thought that the kiss would be the first step to resolving their troubles, but Jiwoo stomped thst put so, so badly that I felt like each word Jiwoo coldly spat out was a new dagger to my heart. Fuck BUDDIES? BED WARMER? EXCUSE ME?? And watching Seojoon lose more and more of his color throughout the conversation, and throughout the second season made my blood boil for Jiwoo. I hated him, and still hate him so badly. No matter what his troubles were, if he didn't want the relationship, why did he kiss him? And then proceeded to let him down in the most gritty and gutwrenching way possible, it just beats me how Seojoon manages to forgive him and TAKE HIM BACK. Like, if there's a third season, I would very much want Seojoon to be more subdued, as a direct effect of what Jiwoo's actions did to his sunny personality and Jiwoo realizing that and trying to redeem himself throughout the season. For me, I hope there's a new love interest for Seojoon because he really needs lots of love ans care for him. The saddest part is, I feel like Seojoon will never be the same as he was before, and the same can be said for Porsche of Kinnporsche. Both of them might have forgiven their respective partners for lashing out at them so brutally because of their own insecurities and traumas, but at the end of the day, they lost a part of themselves even after forgiveness and moving on. Its not even an obvious detail, especially in Kinnporsche, but the contrast between their bubbly personas at the beginning of the show compared to their subtle and heavy smiles at the end of it shows how much they had gotten hurt. Long story short: I HATE Jiwoo with everything I have, and while I do sympathize with his back story, there was absolutely NO reason for him to downplay and brutally insult Seojoon like that.
You know, I lowkey feel weird when people comment on Rain being stupid or dumb. He's a bit childish, yes and sometimes dense, but he always does his best in everything, and since I myself have friends who are architecture students, I can say that its not an easy field but Rain is there, and he works hard in it. So I feel that its wrong to call him dumb. He seems like that in comparison to Phayu, but he's still younger and alot more naive than him and Sky probably due to his lack of experience.

So I spoke to a friend regarding a fanfic idea for Kp that popped up, like where Kinn and Porsche be feral for each other. I said Porsche needed to be a bit harsher in forgiving Kinn, so I wanted to write a fix-it of sorts. Also I mentioned how Apo reminds me of Porsche from ep 1 to 3, all happy and giggly. My friend said that mafia ruined Porsche 😭😭😭 like my man's lost his sanity and now he's got issues, like real issues. Plus I hate how he sold Pete out for information to Vegas knowing his mental state. THIS BECOMES A FULL ON RANT ABOUT CHARACTER INCONSISTENCY FROM HERE SO SPOILER ALERT: I know I've said this before but even if he'd had good intentions to protect Pete (no doubt he would have) but Pete's mental state was so fragile, so if he was actually a good friend, he'd straight up threaten Vegas with a knife to stay tf away from his friend. Thats the only thing about him Ill never forgive, although he was my favorite character till episode 12.
I still don't like Kinn. I don't know why, but he legit got away with having drugged makeout with Porsche, (he apologized though so yeah,) but not just that, he degraded him so brutally in episode 7, and threw him in a DUNGEON, it'd have made him much more likeable if he'd let Porsche in and they'd planned it all together like a giant F U to Vegas and that yucky Tawan. Personally his character is very inconsistent (better than it was in the book, but inconsistent just the same). Also, big's death made my blood boil, like they be MAKING OUT while man be dead? From here on, the writers were making a mockery out of both Kinn and Porsche. I like Vegas and Pete but they arent my type still, Vegas seriously be a well rounded character, as for Pete..... he's okay. He was hot in episode 3 while kicking the crap out of that guy, but he just became a shell of who he was after meeting Vegas (maybe he didn't, its just my own opinion), that Vegas broke Pete and he rebuilded him to be just for Vegas. Come to think of it, I think the dynamic applies to both couples, both ruined by the people who claim to love them the most. Porsche is broken, (no matter how the writers flipped him after episode 10, I will NOT accept any other explanation for his extreme switch in character in the last four episodes). His personality trait is supposed to be loyalty. Its who he is, and all his relationships are MEANT to be loyal, whether to Kinn, to Chay, to Pete, or even to Big. I think the writers made his character inconsistent as hell too, because how tf can he live for Chay for 23 years, and suddenly become so careless with his safety with the mafia? How tf is he so loyal to Kinn that he stays with the man whose father maybe his own father's killer, but he sells out his fRiEnD the first chance he gets? I really hated him in the last 4 episodes, I skipped them because up till then, he was the only reason I watched the show, and when his character became so OUT of character, I couldn't take it anymore. I spoiled myself through clips and mdl reviews and even now I only rewatch the first 8 episodes because everything went out weird from there. Hell even fanfic writers are more consistent with the character sketch. The BIGGEST problem I have with the show is HOW DID VEGAS GET AWAY WITH DRUGGING PORSCHE SO BADLY? NO CONSEQUENCES AT ALL? LIKE IT WAS IMPLIED THAT KINNPORSCHE BOTH FOUND OUT BUT IT WASN'T EVEN BROUGHT UP LATER?? LIKE WTAF? Kinn is even more inconsistent than Porsche. Like man goes from choking his bodyguard to drug kissing him to drugged making out to PUNISHING him for it to also taking a bullet for him to ALSO FUCKING DEGRADE him like that? Plus he doubts him and throws him into a dungeon (plan or no plan, he clearly didn't trust Porsche) AFTER taking the damned bullet? How come he never questioned Vegas for drugging Porsche? I mean, all his rant about Porsche not trusting Vegas, but dude, where is your proof? I'm not a scriptwriter, but there are so MANY so many plot holes in this series. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but in all honesty, the script was the least interesting part of the show. The soundtrack? 10 by 10, production? 100000 by 10, acting? Infinity by 10. And finally... plot? 5 by 10. Solid 5. Like the first 7 episodes had potential. Ep 8 was a nice filler, but ep 9 to 13? Not even the pool scene could save it for me. Ep 14 was alright, I guess, but Porsche putting Che's safety in question makes me go like wtf? He really can't see anyone other than Kinn now, and its such a contrast from his character in the beginning of the series, when he was a sassy buttkicking bartender who could hold his own against a mafia lord to a stereotypical bottom who simply exists for the top. I'm sorry, its a long rant, but I simply had to say it. I hope they redeem Porsche to Pete in season 2, and Kinn too. Vegas got his redumption (to some extent), but the same cannot be said for the leads. I'm overall more impressed with the ffs (especially Mimi's) online than the actual canon however the characterization is, at least it STAYS.
P.S. Porsche's lack of trust in Kinn is harsh (ep 13), but I think its a mirror of what Kinn did to him in eps 9 and 10. It broke him and he subconsciously did the same.
