Yes blood pearl is a pair with that statue but I didn't say the "Blood pearl" is the CURE. Lol. Read again my comment. The blood pearl has a treasure map on it which the BDB after. BDB has a cure of that poison which they can exchange with the blood pearl, if and only if the storyline goes like that.

I think the BLOOD PEARL is the key for Yan zhijing to live, that is why its very important symbol in TSOPG.
If DW will know the antidote/cure in the hands of BDB, she will exchange the blood pearl to Li Kui.
