I hope so cause iqiyi has done almost nothing about this show 😭 They either want to be super secretive about it with the way they didn't release any official material for it (no booting ceremony, no news about whether its actually wrapped up filming or not? No costume fitting photoshoot or even the smallest hint about what it's gonna look like lol) or they just don't care to put effort into promoting it lmao...there are just very few rutters shot hy fansites so I'm very curious

It's just very unethical and sexist that these platforms end up choosing to make the ml the center of attention for the sake of their own benefit (bc they think male celebrities have bigger fandoms which means investing in them= more money), when the original IPs they buy are mostly written by women, with a major female audience, and above all of that ABOUT women's journeys and experiences in life...I don't have anything against male centric narratives but are enough men working in the industry who can write stories about them??? It's really nasty and straight up DISRESPECTFUL that they always buy originally female centric media and do this to them 🙄 I'd actually be okay if they just tried to make the ml and fl equally important, a.k.a "power couple", but tha doesn't happen moat of them times... everytime I comment something like this someone replies to me with the exact same names like yeah that proves my point bc these are pretty much the only actresses who have more creative freedom and enough influence to not get overshadowed by a very sexist industry AND they still get blamed and hated for being too "greedy" and wanting too much everyday...and about the later part of your comment, I think there's already enough empowerment and spotlight for men and I didn't mean to say they have to be "weakened".(which tbh never happens? It basically happens to 80% of historical idol dramas I can make a very long list of them (even tteotm that aired recently and hit really big) 😭 wrtw was a very severe case of it lmfao...and not even idol drama tbh the well known and well respected chen kun actually took part in the production of Rise of the phoenixes and did the same thing to THE Ni Ni lol

interesting details I noticed: 1. The fish tank in her 2nd story was the one in her ex bf's house. 2. In You Guang's story his theatre group were performing Macbeth. In the og play macbeth is receives prophecy from 3 witches that he will become a king and is later tempted to kill the emperor and become the ruler by his wife, very much like how the witch (or I think we could say his inner desires and ambition) tempted him to abandon ppl who were important to him for success in his career. Also both mcbeth and the (story) You guang commit suicide in the end!
