mdl users hate women so sooo much even when a drama gets to a point that the ml's actions can simply not be justified…
Also one last note in response to ppl who keep bringing up the "stop reducing chars to red flag and green flag, some chars are COMPLEX" argument: I actually don't even care that much abt male chars being all nice and green in fiction. I do love my fair share of morally gray crazy boys with abandonment issues but Luan Nian is just a BORING asshole. That's it. He's not complex or anything, he's just the 1467th attempt at repeating a very tired archetype of men in fiction. Like at one point he stops pissing me off and just makes me doze off bc of how boring he is lmfao
mdl users hate women so sooo much even when a drama gets to a point that the ml's actions can simply not be justified anymore, they start saying shit like "well, he's bad but she was also mean to him twice (in response to HIS shitty behaviour) so they're both toxic red flags š¤".
This is why ppl need to stop saying these are just dramas and not that important. You ppl clearly lose your critical thinking skills completely whenever the drama romanticizes toxicity and misogynistic behaviour from male chars (which isn't actually hard to pick up but SO many of y'all have 0 media literacy since you keep saying this show isn't romanticizing it. It clearlyis guys since it's a damn romance drama), so this is not gonna be anything but bad influence on many, MANY young people and actually have awful cultural impact.
The only correct way for dramas like this to exist is if 1: They're just NOT categorised as romance and 2: Show the actual consequences a woman goes through for being in a relationship with a man like him and portrays his evil the way it should be instead of slapping romantic camera language and nice music over their scenes tgt lol. If he dies in the end it would be a very beautiful bonus option as well ^_^
I was so surprised, I had watched 2 eps, however all the clips of this Iāve seen on twitter, are just not making…
I'm way past my tolerance level for shows like this getting hyped up with the "let ppl have fun and respect their personal opinions" logic. This outdated misogynistic disgusting dynamic keeps being repeated in dramas over and over again and the way ppl glaze it so much genuinely bothers me!! Like yeah I'm an elitist mean party pooper so I'm gonna tell you to pick up a damn book and gain some media literacy bc you have a very bad taste.
calling a woman "easy" after she gets sexually harassed is not just a flaw or an honest human mistake…
If he was ugly you wouldn't be writing these epic paragraphs on why he had the right to make HER awful experience about himself and then call her easy....No actually this is mdl and ppl in here love their geges and oppas so much they'd even excuse this behaviour if it came from an ugly man 𤔠then they would start calling the fl names for not wanting to put up with his bs anymore
calling a woman "easy" after she gets sexually harassed is not just a flaw or an honest human mistake as you ppl are labeling it. It's the most harmfuly misogynistic mindset that's DEEPLY engraved in the depth of one's black fvcking soul and a window to way bigger problems with their overall way of thinking. No woman should touch such a man with a 10 feet pole and I need you ppl to grow a backbone and be serious.
If someone asks me whether in Hollywood, Korea, or my own country to name a drama about a strong female friendship,…
I don't think you've watched more than 2 kdramas centered around female friendships. 2018_2020 kdramas were very progressive and actually most of them were about girlfriends lol
I don't think people who are still crying about Jae In ruining the guys' friendship have actually watched these 2 episodes bc they show you 860 signs of why their friendship is pretty much doomed from the very beginning and none of them is that poor girl
So many of you ppl are litterally incapable of consuming any form of media without treating it like it's a bunch…
Ik I'm talking too much but this is the last one I swear: Another problem is that a good lot of you have absolutely no idea about how queer coding works and just call whatever that feels gay but doesn't shout gay into your face queerbait. This also comes from lack of media literacy. Please pick up a book and develop nuanced thinking skills šš»
So many of you ppl are litterally incapable of consuming any form of media without treating it like it's a bunch…
Also this one's gonna hurt but I know very well the majority of you ppl barking queerbait left and right aren't actually gay men so I don't really understand what right YOU have to be so infuriatingly offended by "they're gay and they have romantic feelings for eachother" not being explicitly plastered all over the show?? Is YOUR identity being used for marketing purposes and getting humiliated?? Please enlighten me cause I actually know most of these thai bl watchers and ppl who tuned in a kdrama for freaking Song Kang and Lee Junyoung aren't gay men.
So many of you ppl are litterally incapable of consuming any form of media without treating it like it's a bunch of tropes and ao3 hashtags glued together. It's very telling of your taste and lack of media literacy when you go "omg they don't kiss or **** so I won't watch"...like yeah we can tell you dgaf about good storytelling and only want ships and shitty tropes and tiktok edits that come out of a drama š¤”
And btw there's a thing called imagination and interpretation. One person might see this relationship and think they're friends and one might see it as romantic and you can actually just, you know, go with whatever interpretation you LIKE??? Bc no one's pointing a gun to your head and telling you not to do it???? Bc stories are art and not mathematical equations and different people perceive them differently and it's actually absolutely fine??? lol
The scriptwriter has either been a musician or they had professional musicians consultants bc as a classical musician…
In ep 1 I think what made the scene where yj told po his cadenza sounded dry so relatable was that po got pissed off despite the fact that he'd been losing sleep trying to figure out what was wrong with his playing...this is so damn real like as a pro musician so many times you know you suck but get mad when someone rightfully critisizes you lol
And btw they did a really great job with all the music playing scenes. The instant relief seeing Gyuri actually hold the viola right and even play the music accurately?? Yeah love that so much. Finally a production team that actually respects classical music and doesn't just use it as plot device š
