This is the kind of drama that's probably gonna be critisized by Chinese ppl for the lack of logic in the political aspect and the innocent girl to vengeful and angry reborn lady pipeline was a bit silly but it's kinda whacky and super fun to watch and I genuinely didn't expect that lol 💀 I really thought it'd be boring but it's actually entertaining as hell

I used to lurk on weibo and from what I've seen cnetz say abt cdl and zyr in their previous drams, neither is bad at standard mandarin pronunciation and line delivery. I don't really understand why they're dubbed here and tbh with the way things are rn, I would've preferred the whole show to be dubbed...It's really awkward that the leads are dubbed and the rest of the show uses the original recording ðŸ˜
cdramas used to put breathtakingly gorgeous hand drawn art in their intros, nowadays everything I watch has an ugly ai generated monstrosity slappend in the beginning of it and called a day!!!! Oh god I HATE generative ai so damn much...The pretty animation was one of the most unique things abt costume cdramas and this nasty mf had to take it away from us 🙄

IU's looks in Hotel del luna are absolutely iconic! The drama in general isn't perfect and has some messy moments but it's still a very fun watch. And about good costume design in kdramas, I personally think nothing has beat mr sunshine yet. Jeongnyeon's costumes were also designed by the same person and they were amazing ^_^ You can also check out the costumes in historical and fantasy cdramas if you want to see what real glamour and creativity would look like. Till the end of the moon, Love game in Eastern fanatsy, In the name of blossom etc. Old cdramas (90s and 2000s) are even better in terms of styling and costumes!

All the toxic yaoi bait had me thinking of an svsss twist for this story...A viewer who finds this drama an absolute doo doo pile transmigrates into the fl's brother's body (the scumbag villain) and is slowly hit with the awful reality that the crazy obsessive alpha man of a ml is actually falling in love with him (who abused and tortured him btw) instead of the girl ðŸ˜
