This is very true and I have to admit I'm personally guilty of not being able to do it 😭 I usually tend to prefer books over their live actions (bc of the imagination factor and that I can empathize more with the characters' emotions) that's why I don't watch adaptations of the books I've read lol...I do agree that so many of these cdramas just straight up disrespect the original author with how badly they adapt their books into dramas but this drama is pretty decent so far, with logical and likable characters and a cohesive storyline which does also share the same theme with the book so I don't see why you would say it sucks because minor details and plotpoints aren't exactly like the book lol
