I'm so glad we as a CLJ fans society grew to a point were everybody defends XLH with either just b*tch slapping people who trash talk her or writing great long essays with critical analysis to prove how amazing of a character she is and how she needs to be protected AT ALL COSTS lmao
netflix buying CLJ to save themselves from the humiliation of those awful shows and movies they've produced in the past couple of months! we love to see that!!!
If I was the writer, I would write an ending in which XLH's reincarnated version after her d3ath loses her memory, falls in love with Chidi after meeting her in her dreams and they get married. Then Jieli rejects SQ, he shares his pain with RH who has just been rejected by Chidi, they get married and have half dragon kids. Xunfeng k!lls DFQC to take the throne, DFQC goes through trials and becomes a mortal, CH sacrifices himself for his "friend", jumps into memory loss river, becomes a mortal and these two realize they're in love in mortal realm, kiss and open some sculpture and painting shop or whatever together. Jieli and Danyin find out they're sisters, plot a rebellion, k!ll Xunfeng and that wicked brother of CH, they unite Cangyan sea and Fairy realm, JL rules CY sea and DY the fairy realm. AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVERY AFTER!
The ending was the only bad side in 2521😠Aside that, the journey was the most beautiful and I will cherish…
(A bit out of topic) I personally love good tragic endings cause they're cathartic and memorable but 90% of these dramas CAN'T do it properly. The entire idea that shaped 2521 came from a song about love not lasting forever and all and the writer basically knew she wanted a breakup in the end the moment she started writing it but failed to wrap it up the way it was supposed to. Writing good sad endings is really hard and tbh you can't just slap a sad ending in there and go with it lmao...The red sleeve cuff was the only drama that did an actually good and perfectly wrapped up sad ending. The climax and the overall world the characters lived in started breaking apart gradually and got totally destroyed in the end. Everything being cutsy, sweet, lovely and then BOOM! SE! is a really bad way to write a story lol...I don't think this one will have that, it's not even that angsty and heavy compared to other dramas of the same genre out there.
Watching the Take changed my perspective about female portrayal in media so much, in a really good way...But it's also bad for your blood pressure cause you start noticing how sexist the entertainment industry and the people following it are and that has you getting mad all the time lmao
Lmfaooooo....the freaking man she wants to god damn MARRY in two days suddenly locks her up, destroys her garden,…
Female characters ALWAYS have to "trust" everyone, understand everyone, keep it cool with everyone's bs, think about the priorities of everyone and their mothers before theirs, instantly figure out the "truth" when they're caught in the worst situation possible and be superwomen with skyrocketing IQ and superpowers who are saints but not Mary sue's at the same time and do everything perfectly to not annoy the fragile nerves of dear audiences for some minutes. lmao
I’m at episode 30 and I’m a lot frustrated at the female lead right now. For someone who has been so smart,…
Lmfaooooo....the freaking man she wants to god damn MARRY in two days suddenly locks her up, destroys her garden, tells her he hates her and wants to k!ll her and starts acting strange as hell over night, she doesn't even have the right to panic and get anxious????? She knows why this and that blah blah but fvcking please give her at least a couple days to sort her thoughs out and THINK???? I am seriously in awe of how in every single drama female characters are always demanded to be "understanding" of men...she has done EVERYTHING not just for him, but for the peace of her hometown and other people so far. nah she ain't stupid and she has not turned dumb after falling in love, she's just under so much freaking pressure rn, why do YOU not try to understand her????? It's always "why is SHE so selfish" in every fvcking show...sick and tired of this bs...I don't care UNTILL y'all start bringing the ugly double standards to the table, this kind of a thing makes me sooo mad...And if i say this is misogyny everyone tells me I'm overthinking lol
Really hope every single person involved in this show including the staff and bts crew, even all the VAs get FAT checks, travel to the most luxurious places in the world and have the best time of their lives
Anyone here also thinks that the revelation of XLH's real identity as Goddess of Xishan was a little bit underwhelming?…
I think it was intentional. Who she was in her past life doesn't matter to her and she doesn't feel any connection to it, she sees herself as the person she is now. That's why it wasn't made a big deal of and i like it because it shows that she doesn't need to be a powerful goddess to be cool or whatever, she's amazing as little Orchid even without the spiritual power because of her personality, empathy and wisdom.
