I agree on the part that gj is unlucky to costar rm though bc he's infamous in china for his bad line delivery and ren min is actually always well praised for her amazing diction so it's gonna be even worse for him here cause native speakers will compare the 2 and come to conclusions that you're not gonna like ^_^ I think you should pray for him to get dubbed or he's cooked

No film or show in the world films anything in chronological order 😭 they film whatever scene in the enitre script that takes place in the same location or set whenever they decide to film in said location or certain set props bc it would be time consuming and costly to set all of that for all the scenes that happen in the same place over and over again. That's kind of a bts secret many non ent industry insiders and non film students don't know but paparazzi leaks everything from day 1 in cdramaland so now you know lol

I love it soooo much when Tang dynasty dramas reference actual historical relics for costumes, hair and makeup bc Tang china was truly a living breathing high fashion show...like the fahsion and style of the time was very bold and daring and it's a pity when they modernise it

It's a good feeling bc with idol dramas I kind of expect simple but mildly enjoyable storytelling and nothing more but I'm actually sat for xiaoyao's mystery and adventures 😭

if gjm wasn't such a shit person his dramas would actually be accepted on an okayish level by cntez 🤷🏻‍♀️ tbh I personally find that he cares way more about aesthetics than actual storytelling so his shows go stray after a couple of episodes but they're still pretty okay compared to other idol dramas
I think what pisses cnetz off with him the most is the neverending rip offs of other ppl's work too. He does it over and over again and I think the reason why mjty was actually not that terribly received locally was the fact that there was no plagiarism found in his work for the first time lmfao (but ofc it came back again with fof and everything got effed up for the billionth time)
