the comment section is a mess. there's fewer comments about the plot. i noticed the actual reviews are getting…
The negative reviews are getting more likes because they’re more fun to read. People love a good rant

"They're obviously just troll accounts"

Just because some of us don’t have "data" doesn’t mean we are trolls. We are minimalists, or secret agents on a covert mission. You’ll never know

How many times do we have to tell yall in the comments? Its OK to watch it! No ones stopping u.But there are people…
"All they're doing is driving more pple to hate the genre (BL) even more"

This is like saying if a person who was mugged complains about it, people will start mugging even more. "Ugh, these anti-muggers are annoying. I used to think muggings were harmless, now that they're complaining, I'm gonna go out and start mugging people!"

Standing up against something wrong doesn't make people hate it more, it brings attention to the issue. The more we speak out, the more people realize how harmful censorship is. Someone who's going to hate BL/gay media because people complain about it being censored was already homophobic and looking for an excuse

"It was a great decision business wise"

Money doesn't make something right, or you'd be selling your organs on the black market for money

The producers took the easy route to success by removing the BL element. They took the elevator to the top of Mount Everest, and technically they made it to the top, but they didn't earn it

A company that understands their market would've understood that diversity and inclusion are the future. Streaming services are expanding, and the audience for KBLs is expanding along with them. As society becomes more tolerant, there will be a growing demand for BL

"Doest make me a homophobe just a realist"

You're not "realists," you're "homophobes with a thesaurus." The only thing you're understanding is your own fear of differences and prejudice

Still, Now I'm not so bothered that the series is not a bl. I would have felt so uncomfortable due to the age…
Soul-swapping is as fantastical as a supernatural love interest. A 47-year-old finding themselves in the body of a teenager is a fictional plot device that doesn’t happen in reality

How would the law address the unique situation? Would the 47-year-old in a 17-19-year-old's body be legally expected to enter into a relationship with 20+-year-old adults, or would they be expected to enter into a relationship with someone who's physically the same age as their current body (a 17-19-year-old)? Soul-swapping blurs the lines of what's legally acceptable

I'm seeing lot of mentally sick people here. They want bl between 47 year old man and a teenager boy😂😂 but…
People want a BL between Yi Heon and Se Kyung. The actors who play them, Chan Young and Jae Hyun, have chemistry and look good together

Let them have their fun

they literally said they were changing it from being a BL because it can't guarantee "commercial success" if that's…
Yup, "we don't want to risk offending homophobes, they might not buy our stuff" sounds like homophobia to me. Profit is put before people's identity

They did a wonderful job, gay gay gay everywhere these days.
Oh yeah? If they did a wonderful job, why is the drama as dry as a desert? Maybe it's because they removed all the rainbows

If taking out the romance of two boys from a drama is homophobia then be it, it should exist otherwise this world…
"... otherwise this world will go extinct"

That'd have been a good thing

If I had a dollar for every time I wished all life ended on earth because of homophobes like you, I'd be rich enough to either buy a giant meteor, name it after you, then drop it on earth or build a doomsday machine with a big red button that'd end the world at the press of a finger

I'm rooting for gay rights, I wouldn't want the world to last forever. Then again, the world won't last forever anyway

People were okay with a 900+-year age gap in Goblin, but throw a gay couple into the mix and suddenly everyone's an expert on healthy relationships

The romance wasn't even between a 47-year-old and a 19-year-old, it was between Yi Heon and Se Kyung, a match made in soul-swapping heaven. They were smitten with each other before the soul-swapping. Yi Heon's soul found its way back to its body, and these two lovebirds picked up right where they left off

I am bothered this isn't a BL, the novel's romance was okay

This is called being smart. The producers deserve a pay raise
You mistake numbers for a lack of impact

When it comes to purchasing power, don't forget about the merch BL fans buy. I've never seen a straight "ship" with as many fan-made pillows as a BL ship

"Pirating"

Give BL fans some credit. They're not running around with eye patches and parrots, pillaging and plundering the high seas of the internet for their favorite dramas/movies. They’re regular people willing to pay for their entertainment

"Noisy BL minority" might be the nicest thing you homophobes have called BL fans. BL fans aren't just a "minority," they are a fierce, loyal movement growing in numbers and influence every day. Their buying power is growing with it. Smart producers will recognize this and cater to their market

Too many sick freaks here downvoting cause of BL censorship! This deserves to be upvoted cause of the brave decision…
"Brave decision" to censor ... Listen here, bravery isn't hiding from your fear of gay relationships and censoring them out of the picture. It's facing that fear head-on and learning to accept the reality of gay love. This drama deserves to be downvoted for its cowardice

You believe all BL/gay content belongs on pornhub? I guess it means all straight content belongs on pornhub, too. Good luck with that, "sick freaks"

precisely! I'm enjoying the show..glad they removed all BL content.. it would have been so much better if I didn't…
A work of art should be adapted with the same love and care as a good hairdresser treats their clients

You "sick freaks" are scissor-happy and trim the gay out of everything. Put down the scissors before you butcher another work of art

i will go with an unfortunately coincidence :O
Rating scores are opinions. One person's 10-star masterpiece is another person's 1-star garbage

"... objectively speaking ..."

Objectively speaking, a BL adaptation that chickens out on gay romance isn't better than an actual BL/gay romance

If it's a choice between a Korean BL with a potato-quality camera and dollar store special effects or a high-budgeted production that's too chicken to explore the man-on-man lovin', I'll take the one with the potato-quality camera

This drama might as well be called "The Straight Agenda" or "Gaydar: Off"

Its tagged ' Censored Adaptation Of Same-sex Original Work' so its probably based on a BL, but they just removed…
"Straightwashing isn't a thing"

Tell that to the thousands of queer characters that have been erased from mainstream media adaptations

You don't have to watch queer shows if they're not your thing. Peace

"Queerwashing" isn't a thing

Even if there was a bit of "queerwashing" going on to explore different sexual identities for characters, it would be a natural part of fandom culture and a drop in the ocean compared to the tidal wave of straightwashing in mainstream media

"This drama includes stalking, blackmailing, bullying, suicide"Wait, people are cool with watching bullying and…
We know Yi Heon was bullied and ACCUSED of stalking and blackmailing because he's gay. Because homophobic clowns believe a boy can't like another boy without being a creep

So, your solution to homophobic bullying is to erase the gay altogether? You're trying to fix a crack in the wall by tearing down the whole house. If we censored everything that might cause outrage, we'd have to remove every character from every story!

There's no one talking about this... It's understandable why they removed the BL in this drama. This drama includes…
"This drama includes stalking, blackmailing, bullying, suicide"

Wait, people are cool with watching bullying and suicide, but not with a boy liking another boy? Talk about messed up priorities

"The male lead told his friend about revealing his "true nature""

He's gonna reveal his "true nature." Is he a werewolf or something? Or a shape-shifting angel sent from the gay heavens to destroy humanity's straight-washing agenda? How would the audience know what he means by "true nature?"

They censored Yi Heon’s sexuality and turned him into a "stalker." They went ahead and censored the BL/gay romance because ... it was a small part of the story? Censoring something small that could've just been ignored is, like, totally sus

The "bury your gays" trope doesn’t apply here. The gay character returned at the end, and we wouldn't have hated it

You must be an idiot because it's not "woke" . It's literally "bl" boys love. Get your homophobic ass somewhere…
If people weren't afraid of the gay community, they wouldn't feel the need to censor them, treat them like second-class citizens, pass laws that restrict their rights, or tell everyone how "not-afraid" they are of these "alphabet people"

And with all due respect, phobia means an intense fear and an intense dislike or aversion. Most people harbor negative feelings towards the community. They are homophobic
