He is very convincing when portraying emotions. I hope he gets more roles that will give him opportunity to show his acting skills since he actually has some.
The actor is playing the role really well, but I hate Liu Sui Feng, his heart is so dark. The way he treats Song…
I think it might be because the chief saved him when he was a nobody. Powerless abandoned kid bullied by others. Song MingZhu probably met him when he was already powerful second in command. So he may not trust anyone loyal to him thinking they are just doing it for their own benefit? As for what he does, yes it's wrong and evil, but his clan was wrongly accused of something they didn't do and then erradicated by the so called righteous clans, so he has likely a lot of hatred towards everyone other than the chief and his wife.
Whoever persuaded the martial clans that Herbal Valley was making the marching pill for the Northern invaders is the real culprit. There is a master manipulator pulling the strins in the background. Probably the guy in disguise??
Xu Zhen Xuan's acting is so good as Liu Sui Feng. I hope he'll get noticed. I'll be keeping an eye out for his future dramas. His character is the most interesting one for me so far. I bet he's going to be very surprised once he finds out who really caused the Herbal Valley masacre.
I want to give kudos to the director and choreographer of martial art scenes in this drama (and of cource to actors who execute them). I'd watch this drama just for the stunning fights but so far plot line is pretty solid. By episode 7 I was hooked. I hope Liu SuiFeng will get more screen time, he's the most interesting character for me right now. I hope he'll eventually work with ML for common goal. I also really want the Yan KuangTu to appear in the current story line.
No matter who Kun Wu is, the real villain of this drama is the editor✂️. Although I normally avoid romance in dramas, here I wish they left us more scenes between YHS and WYM, they're cool couple. Wish more c-dramas had a FL like WYM👍🏻.
It may sound ridiculous, but I feel like Yun Hong Qi is Kun Wu 🤣🤣🤣If I were a writer, I would choose…
OMG I was thinking the same thing for a few episodes now🤣. His character is so contrary. Confident and resourceful heir to the Yun family in one episode, naive and incapable of controlling his emotions in another. In ep 30 when he pretends to be the restaurant delivery guy, that was just so 'dumb'. Like I'd rather believe he wanted to make sure that Mi Lan and Zong Fan leave the safe house before they're discoveded by WYM. Also for Kun Wu to be able to paint all those pictures, he'd have to have eyes everywhere and Hong Qi has a net of helpers all over Changsha. And from 'making the drama as dramatic as posssible' point of view, Kun Wu should be someone really close to ML or FL for the emotional impact😁.
This documentary is taylored for Yibo. Give him a challenge and a competent teacher and he will quickly learn how to navigate different environments while mastering new skills. Of everything else I watched him in so far, here, he is the most natural and the most 'himself'. Plus all the guides on the program so far were super nice and the filming team deserves a big cheer. The rainforest episodes with Lao Xue are my favourite so far.
For me his role is the most interesting in this movie, he rocks the movie, thanks to STN role, the audience is…
I agree, for me he's the most interesting character as well. I really enjoyed today's episode (34). In the past, STN seemed so convinced that covering up the government's corruption was the only way to mantain some social order. It was good to see that his conscience was seriously bothering him and that he regreted not speaking up and exposing people who orchestrated both crimes. Makes me curious what side he'll end up on eventually. Btw the scene with his daughter being terrified of him was just 💔💔
Even worse than the evil governmental officials who use their power to scam the poor out of their money are those who serve them and protect them (like captain Lin and his unit) while being abused and despised by them. Lin was repeatedly put down and beaten by his superior, arrested to take a blame for something he was ordered to do, yet he continues to serve Kang and his clique totally against his own interests. You can’t get any lower than that.
Are they seriously guilt-tripping a civilian into being bait for a serial killer in ep. 03? These Chinese shows like to preach about morality a lot but have a weird take on it🙄.
