A must if you’re an angst lover!!
First time watching this series since i didn’t watch the original before and let me say that this has set the standards.As an angst lover let me say this clear: this has the best story plot i’ve ever seen in bls. the show itself is messy as hell, you would never get tired in any moment because it keeps your attention on the story and charaters.
The whole cast is wholesome! spexial mention to war, everytime he cries for love i wanna cry with him. he’s just an amazing actor, glad he get the main role with yin, their chemistry is no joke.
I don’t think people should label it as a bad, boring, toxic series just because of the cheating plot & its against what we used to see / real situations. If you don’t like it its fine, but appreciate the hard-work behind.
Looking forward to the next three caps and get to know how they fix their BIG ass problem right now. excited!!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY !!!
Great acting, good dynamics, developed storyline, very well done!It was the first BL I have watched by myself after a list of recommendations from my friend since I started watching BLs. I didn't have many expectations from it since I didn't even watch the trailer (i prefer not to) and it went HIGHER than I expect, MUCH HIGHER.
The storyline is well developed (more than the s2 honestly), since it's a mainly love-focused storyline (i know all are love focused but some are just more plot-story-focused than the couple instead) it was quite entertaining and catchy to watch, it makes you crave for more and more!
The two main leads Shuyi and Shide have strong personalities which make you fall in love with them quickly. They have an outstanding chemistry!! Also both have a very good relationship off-camera and that's a plus, they care for each other <3 Frankly, I was more focused on the main couple's relationship than the secondary couples, sorry. But they were good too! The entire cast did a great job.
The only thing that lacked for me was the soundtrack maybe, but I'm just being picky here.
Overall, i HIGHLY recommend this series because everything is perfect and you really connect with both of the main leads. I absolutely love this story and would rewatch it over and over again. This series deserves more recognition from the BL community I'm so mad.
Hope there's an s3 soon! can't wait to see more of them on screen.

Acting, Toxicity and Obsession at its finest!
Coming from a demanding viewer, this is a masterpiece. I didn´t expect much from this series since it was not hyped as much as the other chinese bls, but it definitely won a place in my heart. Everything is settled to perfection. If you wanna enjoy a bl with a fast-paced, toxic, obsessive, manipulative and with a more mature tone, this is made for you unquestionably.The story unfolds quickly yet smoothly as they fall in love, and the acting feels natural and unforced. There´s no filler or "unnecessary" incidents throughout the series, not even a boring scene all along. The chemistry between Fanxiao and Shulang started messy, but it makes you obsessed, wondering how everything will end for them? I didn't read the novel, but I can definitely say that they ATE their roles, they just embodied them.
Overall this is an angsty drama, barely with touches of comedy; but when they wanna include them, they're light and silly and non-cringy jokes thankfully.
And let's talk about something many people overlook: the production of this series.
- The music appears at the right time. The soundtrack is also perfect.
- The lightning. Such an underrated thing to appreciate, but it works every time.
- The cinematography. From my point of view, I've never been more attracted to the colours of a series than this one. Every shot is perfectly recorded, from every angle, and don't forget the colours, utterly charming to the eyes.
For sure, there will be a few high-quality bls in the whole industry that include all the previous points, but personally, I love how the storyline develops along with the chemistry between the main leads :) Can't wait for how the story ends! As expected, chinese bl productions are always top-tier.
