ONE I never been Zhao Li Ying fan or I ever liked her acting. She worked two of most well made - well delivered drama I ever seen Princess Agents and The Story of Ming Lan. I have to say, I actually liked her work in this drama. maybe it is result of her more then 10 years work.
TWO I do not like this type Fantasy drama, this is not my cup of tea. but The Legend of Shen Li is a very well made - well delivered - well balance and enjoyably drama.

It would be batter if last scene cast by He Lan Dou (Princess Yang Ying) not Chen Hao Yu (Chu Yue)
Chu Yue was the true survivor of those who took active part in the last battle, and whereas Yang Ying had moved on from her second love, Chu Yue was still mourning her only one, Yu Shisan.
isn't your this line philosophical and connecting dotes.
as audience one should appreciate what they saw, but no they have go CREATIVE and connect the dotes of unseen time gape between two scene.
when drama did not show emotionally connection with Chu Yue with all of the characters we came to love. then why should one go philosophical and connect the dotes to appreciate THE LAST SCENE.
if one want to go philosophical there are a lot of scene with philosophical approach, go there.
this drama is more then one month old. if audience wont see this drama because of "spoiler tag", then we should forget about them.

it just that character Zichuan Ning is a good character. but she just there.
i dont understand Zichuan Ning character, it seem she just there.
as a MC it is waste of a character
but her father mother case is serious and a pathetic case
some time rich parent or parent with authority find Wife or Husband for there children with very needy background.
man at list can show violent outburst, but for woman it is very pathetic
after release i saw this drama few times. after 1st time, every time i saw i skip EP1 every time,
thats how irrelevant that back story
they did this so our female character can shine.
but they unintentionally dig up case of Li Yi Jin father mother.
i thought they will give a good conclusion of this case.
in the end it just a red flag
