i was thinking same thing, it is a 24 ep drama and they still going with annoying approach of FL,
no matter what they do next in my opinion they already ruined FL's character

i saw her in many good drama as a Support Role, like she is in every were.
that scene made realize why she is in every were.
actor or actress like her never become what we understand Main Lead.
you mention one line of Minglan, that one line made significant because of Gao Lu's fantastic delivertion.

but Ep 1 in a way completely detach from resat of Drama. Only when Xu Hong Dou visit her friend parent and her grave had any touch with Ep1

Gao Lu did a fantastic job for her last scene.

Fei Ke / Li Ze Rui should be punished by law, but he gone far way to recover. his ending is sad-bitter but a happy one in a way.

it is what called Drama for Drama's sake

they had a very good back story, but story development of drama completely empty, linear to be more prosaic.
and this Drama for Drama's sake in story development added to keep audience attracted into drama, keep audience on their toes.
this is why every one saying bast drama ever saw.

beside well made Ep, very good Acting from cast. drama has nothing to offer.
