I watched SOKP after this--I liked the revenge/scheming aspect of it a lot, but I like the romance in TPR more...

This is the type of drama where you have to be patient with the plot and dialogue. Paying attention to the details helps to make sense of the final episodes. I got goosebumps in the end when the whole plan was explained.

The visuals in this drama was crazyyyy, everyone looked so good 😭 I'm in love with the styling too.

I know romance was a focus of this drama, but I was more interested in Ziyu and the Gong family :') But ngl, the last couple minutes was unnecessary, especially if there is no plan for a S2...

But either way, this drama is definitely unique and worth a watch!

Actually really liked this. It has been sitting in my PTW list for a while, but picked it up because of my new ZLH obsession. In terms of romance, this isn't usually what I'd look for in a drama, but I still kinda liked it.. I guess there's a first to everything. In terms of scheming and revenge, lorrddddd, this was too good. Xie Wei is so damn smart. But it also makes me sad thinking that he had to work hard and be smart to survive day by day ever since he was 7.

Watching SOKP shortly after watching TPR was crazy because ZLH's character in both are extremely different; I'M OBSESSED. About to watch MJTY next, at this point :')

Anyway, really really good drama with an intriguing plot. I would have liked this drama even without the romance--the revenge was perfect.
