What really got me was when he was saving her from the fire, he didn't immediately bring her out, but instead they stayed in the smoke for a romantic scene ðŸ˜
This drama started off great; it was captivating in the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the drama because of BLDJ, his family, the seniors at the academy, his masters, YDZ and SKCF. I loved their dynamics and how we saw BLDJ's powers grow and become recognized.
However, I feel like they lost the plot in the second half of the drama when the screen time was given to the villains, which decreased the screentime for everyone that I love in the first half. There were MANY people that I wish we could've seen at the end of the drama, but didn't. For example, I wanted to see Mr. Li with all his disciples again. I wanted to see BLDJ actually go back home to his parents, grandfather, and uncle. I wanted to see BLDJ and YY's wedding too. Additionally, what happened to BLDJ and his liquor? He barely mentioned or brewed liquor in the second half of the drama when it was one of the focus points in the first half.
There was too much, yet nothing at all that happened in the last episodes, which contributed to such a rushed ending. Yeah, it was a happy ending, I guess, but it felt empty. I can deal with open endings or sad endings that make sense. But a happy ending that isn't satisfactorily fulfilled is kind of ehhh...
Oh, but I do have to say, I thought YY was going to be annoying in the drama, but she wasn't. Happy to see her and BLDJ's healthy and supportive relationship throughout. CANNOT say the same for YWJ though... she let YDZ and their son down until the end.
Overall good drama. Definitely only stayed because of Neo Hou and the good looking cast and characters.
It's on hold for me I really love woosik and dami especially their chemistry in witch movie so I thought of giving…
Literally I dropped this drama because of this. I hated the back-and-forth, push-and-pull situation they were in for basically 80% of the drama. Like you said, it's not the leads' fault, but the scripting for the characters is just not for me ://
I started this because I'm a fan of both ZJ and TXW, but I ended up really liking it. It's a light drama that focuses on farming and business, but I thought the romance was sweet too. The leads have really good chemistry and communication. So glad it was a HE :') I almost cried
Are the misunderstandings at least bearable? Like are they resolved quickly? Because I want to watch this, but I hate it when there's miscommunication and it drags
