Lai Yun Chen was only a good friend to the FL, but from high school into adulthood there was one thing she never…
i may be wrong, but i think what they went for was letting the song do the talking for example, there's a scene in brother bear where kenai tells koda he killed his mom. we don't hear the confession, as phil collins' song plays over it. i think that the lyrics of the song may have dropped hints at what was written there
It's the same for me. She is too different and the fact that he supposedly recognized her even with her different…
there's actually a music video where they play classmates, which came out years before the series. Basically, this video does feature bullying, but what his character does for her is very comforting. Trigger warning for self harm because her character has sh scars.
I'm so curious whats written in that letter and whats in that christmas present... guess that's something that…
same. i think it's more of a "phil collins' song during kenai's confession in brother bear (we never hear what he says but the lyrics are more than enough to drop hints about the content)" type of move. look up the translation of the lyrics of the song that plays when CHT reads his letter.
i think he did recognize her, but he most likely played along, pretending as if he didn't to avoid traumatizing her. which is why he wrote the letter in case she does get her memories back and her DID eases up a bit
and for what? Do the one thing ML and SFL wanted to protect the FL from?
There's a scene where the project dude deleted the footage AFTER finding out about the anonymous post, so this means that even if he HAD WILL HAVE WANTED to make the documentary, the footage would have been gone
Ok, I can't be the only one who wishes the writers didn't have him kill that kid. The whole point was for us to sympathize with him. And I get that he regretted it. But I think that him not hurting that kid would have made his position equally, if not more tragic. Ouyang Ti's dad was supposed to look like he was in the wrong for making the victims look innocent.
I agree with you on the self hatred aspect.. I think it was more that the writer felt that moment had to happen…
I really wish they didn't have him kill that kid. Ouyang Ti's dad would have still demanded the execution to happen sooner. This murder was unnecessary. I hope we'll see a BTS where they explain that part as well.
Well, what can I say, season 2 is way more painful than i expected. i loved it a lot, though. I do think CHT died by suicide, they can't show explicit suicide depictions, so the hotlines and the afterlife postcredit scene make it very clear. The post credit scene really hits hard and gives hope that they are finally at peace. It's probably one of the few shows i straight up binged.. it is indeed devastating that he killed the child, but also explains why he never appealed or stood up for himself. he crossed a line and he knew it.
I think FL died at the end and next scene we see that she is celebrating with ML the Christmas so both of them…
I think what pushed her over the edge was survivor's guilt. especially considering he was executed ON CHRISTMAS. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Correct me if I'm wrong, but once the scene of her fades to black, suicide prevention hotlines appear.
First I thought if FL committed Suicide in the end after reading ML letter have she thought about her parents…
I thought i was the only one who thought so. all of these movie reviews on the internet seem to claim she survived, which doesn't add up, especially considering the suicide prevention resources popped up after the scene of her getting into the water and never returning faded to black
i thought i was the only one who thought so. there's no way in hell they would have shown her death explicitly (for ethical reasons and because of the suicide contagion phenomenon). and correct me if i'm wrong, but the scene where she goes into the water then blacks out with suicide prevention resources appearing on the screen. i feel like her choosing not to follow through with the interview and him dying afterwards (as well as the survivor's guilt that followed) was the final blow to her.
the song and the performers are:

The lyrics are in the comments, you can click "translate to english" (i did the same) and you'll see what the song is about. it does feel like something he would have written, imo
for example, there's a scene in brother bear where kenai tells koda he killed his mom. we don't hear the confession, as phil collins' song plays over it.
i think that the lyrics of the song may have dropped hints at what was written there
The execution scene.... her drowning herself makes sense, though, especially given the post credit scene. I am NOT ok 😭
