Such a wonderful drama, on par with Joy of Life. I feel empty now that I won't be waiting every night for a new episode of Guardians of Dafeng. *Crying* T_T
I've seen many comments from people who dropped this drama and couldn't finish it. I actually finished it way back in 2021, I think. At first, I was hesitant because the first 1-10+ episodes were boring as they introduced tons of characters. So, what I did was take notes of the different characters using Notepad so I wouldn't forget them. I believe that if you try my method, even if you drop it for a while, you can still pick up from where you left off. Since the drama has a lot of characters, it's essential to take notes of their names. From what I remember, the drama gets interesting from episode 18? or 20? onwards. Once you reach that episode or any episode that you think captivates you, I promise you won't be able to sleep until you've finished the drama.

I really hope you will watch this drama. It really deserve more views. The story and cinematography of the drama is way better than some of the current popular drama out there. ALSO, you better grab some ChickenAdobo while watching this drama. I promise you it will be 10/10 Hahaha.
Would you say that the ML is very predominantly the Protagonist of the show, or is the focus pretty well split…
Its a little bit male centric drama. But the female lead here also have a lot of screen time. She is also super strong and always willing to help the male lead in their adventures. This drama also have 2nd couple (they too have a lot of screentime together). There are also no love triangle in the story if you're wondering about that. Both leads are also loyal at each other. ~ I hope you will watch it! :>
I plan to watch this drama, Kindly give me spoiler regarding 1. When is the main couple officially together? 2.…
1. I think episode 11? 2. They did have a breakup because of some certain circumstances. But i will not spoil it to you as it will spoil some twist in the Drama. I think its 4-5 episodes? Not sure. 3. The breakup between the main leads doesn't affect the whole drama as a whole but it affects some episodes. During those episodes it can be seen that both leads were sad about it. 4. They did patch up again in the last couple episodes. Between 30-33? 5. There are no 2nd female lead or 2nd male lead. They are loyal at each other 6. No ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend 7. Open ended ending. It seems that they are planning to create Season 2.
I hope I answered your questions. The good thing about this drama is that there are no love triangle. I hope you will watch it! :>
this is late, but it’s on youtube with english subtitles but might not be available in your region.
Thank you! Yes I watched it already. I used VPN to watch all the episodes. It is not available mostly in SEA countries. Idk why but maybe because of the rights of the drama. Anyway, thank you again for replying!

Episodes 1-3 are subbed but episode 4 onwards are not :<
So based on the current episodes, Lee Yeon Joo's (FL) uncle, the previous king of Joseon, died. After their uncle and father's death, his brother Lee Hyul became the king regent. In order to become a regent, the current ruler must be a minor, absent, or incapacitated. So Lee Yeon Joo (FL) and Lee Hyul must have a little brother who is the crowned prince but is still a minor, so Lee Hyul (Probably the son of a concubine) suddenly becomes the regent. Then minister Yoo Je Se (Presumably the antagonist) wants to marry his son Yoo Ji Sun to Lee Yeon Joo (FL) in order to control Joseon while the current king is still a minor and the king regent is still their pawn. He wants to control the royal court through Lee Yeon Joo (FL).
You can clearly see the chemistry between the main leads. I cant stop smiling whenever they are together. I'm so happy with this drama and cant wait for new episodes!
Maybe Goo Eun Beom (ML) wanted to divorce her because he is infertile or having a problem with his "yknow". It can be seen in the last episode (ep 2), where he supposedly "Pretends" to know the sexual function test. Maybe he really knows what it feels. Another thing is that maybe Oh Ha Ra (FL) wants to have a child, but he can't, so he wants to divorce her to give here a chance to have a baby. That is the only reason I can think of why he pretends to have an affair just to divorce her and let Oh Ha Ra (FL) have a blind date with his friend. I guess he wants her to be happy.
I'm afraid of that joker card they showed in the end. Is there hope for season 3🧐
There is a sequel in the manga that Arisu will go back to borderlands again. But I think it will be a movie instead of a series since the manga (source) is really short plus we already have a good ending in the Alice in borderland 1 and 2. :>
When Queen of hearts was saying lies about what that world was. One thing she also said was the world was destroyed…
Its just a lie from the Queen of hearts, it was her strategy for Arisu. What was real is that they are in the borderland (purgatory in Catholic belief). The Alice in borderland 1 and 2 was based on a manga with similar title. It was explained there that the one who oversee the borderlands is the joker. That is why in the ending of episode 8 we can see the joker card. ~ From the wiki..
When Arisu asks Joker if he is the ruler of the Borderlands, he instead asks Arisu if he looks like a God or a Devil. Then the image of Sanzu River comes to Arisu’s mind, believing Joker is the equivalent of the ferryman (who is unnamed but the role is similar to Charon in Greek myth) who carries the dead to the netherworld, hence his subsequent reply, an intermediator. Immediately afterward, all players refusing permanent residency are sent back to reality as promised.
i have watched law dramas before and ofc there is drama in it, but im here for the romcom part, is this show stressful?…
There are scenes that are funny but the we are still far from the romcom part. Also, the main leads have chemistry unlike in other dramas. I hope you will give it a try!
I'm still on episode 35, and what I enjoy most about this show is the friendship between the four men. Exclude the (unrealistic) romance between the FL's and ML's. I love how they cherish their friendship between them and I'm kind of jealous of them even though its just a story. That's the kind of friendship I'd like to have. They are willing to do anything just to help you. Of course, the manly toxicity is not among them. I know there are many women who dislike this drama because of the toxicity of the ML's in the story or the way they objectify women. Yes, I agree with all of you; that is one of the drama's drawbacks. It is already the 21st century, and we must let that toxicity go. ~ What I enjoy about men-centric drama is how easily I can relate to them. As a man, I am amazed when they show our flaws, even if it is just a drama. We are not the "Man" that women fantasize about. We can also cry and express our emotions in front of everyone. Unlike in female-centric drama, well ofc it's always about FL. But, what I don't like about those dramas is the "Man" they portray. They are almost emotionless and perfect (for me). It's as if they were designed specifically for women's fantasies. ~ PS: I have nothing against women/females/girls or female-centric drama. it is just the way I view it when I watched those dramas. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Also, sorry for the long comment. Have a nice day to all of you! :)
To go to the borderlands, which is the area between life and death, the participants would have to be in a state…
They would not expressed regret as it was explained by Kyuma while fighting Arisu. The decision of their group is always based on majority vote. So if there is an accident that night, maybe they wouldn't blame the driver.
What I want to know is the detailed explanation of how those citizens died in the real world. Their backstory, especially Mira's backstory. Sadly, it was not explained in manga and live action

There is a small hint of how they "Died" in the real world. When they voted for who will drive that night after they performed. Maybe there's a car accident.
