It could go below 7 at this rate. Why embarrassing though?
Embarrassing for an otherwise excellent, informative website. What I've been saying all along--people who've watched 1-2 eps shouldn't be allowed give the entire drama a rating. Commenting is enough to dissuade potential viewers who have the same mindset as you from watching it. That's my opinion.
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. It was, indeed, a showcase for the actors. Imo, this project presented…
I was in shock. First k-drama I watched with that kind of ending. Damo did it to me again. EK had her sacrificing love for power, so, in a way, not the same but a somewhat similar dynamic in Climax.
Speaking of a face that moves, the way her expression slowly and subtly changes when she "sees" Jeong-won in the audience. Most actresses would do too much too fast.
Oh, and I meant to mention before, in an interview, Ju Ji-hoon called her sunbae and a great actress. Which made me wonder how much her acting opposite him in those big emotion scenes influenced his performance.

Someone else watched Bali! That ending! She seems to like projects that are different from the rest. Like Damo. There's a brain at work in that actresses' head. For me, her performance in Climax was the best.
There was a lot of chirping after the early eps dropped about why these A-list actors chose this project. Turns…
I couldn't agree more with everything you said. It was, indeed, a showcase for the actors. Imo, this project presented them with their first opportunity to show how really great they are.
Sang-ah owned BTS. He was a weak man who needed a handler. Casting Ju was a master stroke. Apart from the fact that he's extremely popular and always delivers, I think he was probably also cast because of the role he played in Hyena.
You mentioned Sunset Boulevard in your review. I can't help wondering how some of the more literal-minded folks here would've reacted to the movie if they knew that the narrator was the dead guy lying face down in the swimming pool. That bold, wacky decision on the part of the Sunset Boulevard writers reminded me of the bold, wacky decisions made by the Climax writer.
That's fine. My POV: Climax is an actor's show, meaning that the actors carry it and that those particular actors were cast because they're known for carrying shows. And I think you'd agree that they really delivered. They and the show are currently being praised on Instagram in several different languages, so I'm not alone.
The ending really knocked my head back, because it's pure, k-drama viewer wish fulfillment. I've been played, but I love the audacity. The writer needs to be asked about it with English subtitles, please. And Ha Ji-won as Sang-ah, looking absolutely gorgeous, the glint back in her eyes, aiming them at a new crew of ardent, needy characters.
