Watching her less-than-average acting skills in Perfect Marriage Revenge explains why she's only been able to snag support and guest roles all these years. This woman needs acting lessons.
I dropped it at ep 8. For a demon who's been around for 200 yrs he sure lacked discretion or intelligence for that matter. I hated the ML character so much
@Jennykeo_13 I believe we're all here to express our thoughts so who are you to tell someone off? This is not Weibo and not everyone is sheep without their own opinions.
Bravo! Your review was more fun than the drama. Another point that reduced viewing pleasure was the OTT drag and pull between the eventual male lead and the FL. As if pulling and grasping her wrists and arms were major plot drivers. Amazingly stupid I tell ya.
XW is a walking Red flag and this just went from a 10 to a 6. No man should choke or grab any woman regardless of whether it's warranted or not. This man gets jealous even when she breathes. What kind of love is this????
I've watched it twice already and it's no exaggeration to say it healed a part of me that had grown bitter and cynical in the last decade. Take your time and enjoy it if it brings you comfort.
I adore this woman. She has a way of losing herself in her characters so much so that even her gestures differ in each drama. The younger actresses, otoh, only know how to emote a certain way which they use repeatedly in all their dramas. An example is Bai Lu and Song Yi
When a drama has to tell you the protagonist is smart then I know all is lost. I saw this in The Advisor's Alliance where every character kept telling us that SIma Yi was the next best thing since ice cream cake when in reality all he did was scrape and bow to the emperor just to keep his head on .
I find Dilraba a heavy pill to ingest in one sitting with her acting only just good enough and a face that clearly makes her easy on the eyes. What will she do as she starts to age and newer enigmatic actresses come up the rung? DJ, otoh, has already been surpassed by younger talented actors and I hope for his sake he takes more sorely needed acting lessons.
I'm with you on that. It so cringe and the ML character is annoying
