In the same way SK copied China's Scarlett Heart, there are many Chinese shows that have been based on Sk dramas; however, that doesn't mean the writers plagiarized. Do you even have any proof to substantiate this claim? Moreover, anyone who's watched Jewel in the Palace can immediately see that the only similarity is the profession of the female lead. Should we then accuse the makers of "Royal Feast" of plagiarism since it also is a palace drama with a female chef who falls for the Crown Prince?

Oh my god, this woman has to be the hardest-working Chinese actress out there. Her movie list alone is astonishing.

When a character is miscast it's difficult for the viewer to be fully immersed especially with such a big age disparity. I had similar thoughts about the female lead in The Rebel Princess, however, with a performance so captivating and a plot so engrossing, I soon forgot about her age. The bar for YZ is truly in hell. An actress with this much experience shouldn't be this poor at conveying complex emotions, yet she continues to struggle with any character that has a depth deeper than a puddle.

I see we all came here to rant about Tian Zhen 😂. That boy has lost his gaddamn mind. Who TF leaves a drunk girl alone on a bench near a body of water and, going by the trail of clothes, it looks like Tou Tou might have been naked when TZ eventually found her in the lake? That just boggles my mind. Like, how? How could anyone be that wicked?

I seriously hope they redeem his character cos it's looking like quite a large section of the audience is heaping the blame on the actor himself especially when Zhao Lusi is the one playing the mistreated character. Viewers are so angry they can't seem to distinguish real life from fictionalized drama.

All of them with the exception of maybe Yang Yang are 6-7 yrs younger than her and with such an abundance of younger, more versatile actresses, I doubt YZ would ever be cast with any of these actors.

There's none, IMO. She is stereotyped and has played similar characters. Be it Oath of Love, Go Go Squid, or Legend of the Dragon Pearl; all she plays is the adorable, somewhat dim yet somewhat smart character. She's either pouting or acting innocent, and of course there're always countless suitors falling for whichever stupid character she's playing.

I just finished watching this on Viki and it was good until it became nonsensical at the end. Low budget and bad writing equals meh
