That seems like a confused view to me. Gicheul only killed the previous gang leader because he murdered Tae-ho…
Read this thoughts on ep 4, 5. This is not written by me but it's same thoughts as like me so I shared it here.. to understand more about characterization

Lim Se-mi about her character role Eui Jung
they are not a typical married couple. In Korea , we call it ``comradeship,'' and when a couple gets married or raises children together, they have a relationship of honoring their obligations. In the case of Jun-mo and Eui-jeong, their relationship was more about finding a way to protect ``you'' than a couple. Rather than thinking about ``How can we be happier tomorrow?'', it seems like ``we'' were worrying about how to live together... or rather, we were a couple thinking about ``How can that person be safe?'' is. You could say they have a somewhat unique marital relationship

Your suspecting Eui Jung character read about what's her characterization from 1 to 5 episodes The thing important thing to remember in the dynamic among the trio is that Eui-jeong married Jun-mo despite opposition from her family. There's a reason why the show has been stressing that point right from the start. She married him because she loves him very much despite his family background which her dad and brothers despise. She also inserted herself into the investigation because of him. Therefore she is wholly invested in their relationship. So what does this tell you about Eui-jeong? Once she makes her mind up, she will follow through. She's also not fooled by Jung Gi-cheul either. She knows exactly what he's become. He's not the choir boy she used to know. She's not the one still living in the past, he is. It's a honey trap not nostalgia on her part.

Watch drama in director POV don't make assumptions on your own, your own imagination confusing new Watchers more with cheating or betrayal... like your saying Eui-jung may endup with Ki-Chul in process of to using him, then it will become the worst troop ever made in kdrama land, I'm just asking why the director choose cheating or betrayal 8n top actors drama, it's backfire to his drama, like i said before since he took the worng path to success in his life there no choice to what he wants sometimes, to see Joon Mo father also a drug addict but he come over that and took his path in right way.... just stop saying that fl would cheat on his husband and may endup with Ki-Chul with biased thought even he's a big actor it's not right that many of his fans saying it's okay to endup with fl... while he's the real reason behind fl husband's undercover operation. Joon Mo may turned into evil because of Ki-chul only for Ki-chul.,. In the process of infiltration Ki-chul may turned into good after meeting his first love, but what is the point here to he endup with fl.. because her husband became evil because of Ki-chul..... no any wife choose her first or anything when her first priority... we still don't about how story will endup but my intention it's not correct to say fl endup with SML because ML turns into evil. Comeon guys just be netural here as a kdrama fan not as a biased fan..
reposting this comment for who are saying Eui Jung going to be cheat or betrayal his husband Joon Mo take a look this...

Many people feel sorry for ki-chul just bcz he is going to be betrayed by ML & FL. Duds Look at the drama !! he…
Once criminal is always criminal, since he took the worng path to success in his life, to see Joon Mo father also a drug addict but he come over that and took his path in right way
Nope, don't read any comments related to cheating or love triangle or betrayal. those who don't know about complete information regarding this drama and whom are just watched first 5 episodes saying like that..,.. I'm saying just go and watch drama enjoy it, there's no betrayal, no cheat. director just created a Complex relationships between main leads, to confuse the watchers and he made attention to the story...

Only Ki-chul, Joon Mo, Hee song, Jong bae, sepc guy, and other 3 people knows about their shortcut route to sea, i think Ki-chul told him to wait somewhere in the shortcut route to help him if any thing goes worng... so he already waited in that place because he already knows the plan but he didn't told to Ki-chul i think he's wants to gain more trust from Ki-chul than Jong bae, Hee song....
